Young at Heart (Seniors & Friends)

Our next Wednesday Get-Together will be on Wednesday, 1 June at 1.30 pm at the Church. Bob will be talking about his Or-der of Australia Medal award ceremony earlier this year. Please make every effort to come along and hear Bob's presentation. The June Sunday Luncheon will be held at 12.45 pm on Sunday, 19 June Please let church office know if you are attending. Chee Seng Fah - Guest Speaker Sunday 26 June He is married to Wei Lyn, and serves as an associate pastor at Clayton Church of Christ. They have one son named Judah and live in Melbourne. His passion is to teach/preach the word of God and to equip and train disciples towards a church planting movement in Australia. Chee’s hobbies include playing music, reading, travelling and playing sport (basketball, table tennis and golf).

Life changing experiences "Spending five years with Scott from grade 2 through to the end of grade 6 was a life-changing experience, for both him and myself," recounts John. "For the first term or two there was virtually no communication at all, although we both stuck at it, and over the ensuring years developed a firm and lasting friendship. I was invited to join his family to help celebrate at Scott's grade 6 graduation. In fact, I still even now catch up with him and his mum each year to say hi and talk through old times and hear of his future plans. The hour we spent together each and every week over those five years was definitely a time we both looked forward to, doing schoolwork, drawing, playing on the computers and just playing outside through to just talking and being mates! I remember his mum telling me one morning (at a morning tea held at the school each term) that she was sure her boy wouldn’t have got through some super heavy and real issues he was going through without my support. I knew nothing about these things going on in his life, but just having a regular ‘someone’ to care about and spend time with had obviously made a significant impact" If you would like to find out how to become a mentor, please contact Church Office

KOPI at one2one has begun!

KOPI stands for “Kommunity Of Prayer for Indonesia” and is an exciting new group now meeting regularly for good coffee, fellowship, and of course a chance to support our church’s mission focus in Indonesia through prayer. Pray for the students we support, church planting programs and also for upcoming short-term missions trips from one2one.

ALL mothers of children aged 0-6 are invited to come along to the one2one MOPS group. Mums can enjoy some relaxing child-free time with other mums as they listen to guest speakers, chat, make something creative and enjoy morning tea together.

We meet every Tuesday fortnight from 9.15-11.45am during school terms here at the church. $5 per mum, first visit is free.

The MOPPETS program provides care and activities for children (0-6yrs) during the MOPS meetings. MOPS would not happen without the support of the MOPPETS carers. For MOPPETS to run smoothly in 2016 we need some new carers and we would love you to consider helping! Volunteers will require a Working with Children Check or be willing to obtain one. All personal details such as phone numbers, addresses and emails will be removed before uploading. Tithing and Giving Options Offering envelopes can be collected from the information desk. If you would like to give via direct deposit, please pay into ANZ Bank, BSB 013516 & Acc. No. 327608093 with your surname as a reference or any other word/number that you will remember.

Bequests Some Christians like the idea of leaving a bequest or gift for their church in their wills. If you would like to consider this possibility then please seek appropriate legal or financial advice. If we can help at all, please contact the church office on 5334 1882.

Hearing Augmentation System [T-Loop hearing ] one2one is equipped with a FM hearing augmentation system. The system is suitable both for those who are hearing impaired and have a hearing aid with a 'T' setting, or for anyone who's simply a little hard of hearing yet doesn't have a hearing aid. Sets are available prior to the service from the Information Desk in the foyer, where someone will be on hand to assist those new to the system. Please remember to return your set after the service.
