Well another top sale here in Williams Lake as 600 head of cattle hit the
sale ring. Chris & Christina Johnson put the fire to our feeder trade as they
saw their steers from Forest Grove set a pace. Their 944 lb. steers marked
224.00, their 684 lb. steers hit 298.00 with the 585 lb. steers at 320.00. Roy
& Kathy MacDonald saw their 578 lb. steers mark 340.00, their 505 lb.
steers hit 355.00, their 635 lb. steers saw 316.00, their 622 lb. heifers
marked 275.00, their 533 lb. h/c’s saw 295.00, their 378 lb. Hereford h/c
brought 350.00. Vic & Sue Meyer saw their top 632 lb. steers from 100
Mile House trade to 317.00, their 580 lb. Angus cross heifers mark 302.50,
they also had 595 lb. Char cross steers mark 340.00. Susanne Langan from
McLeese Lake saw her 443 lb. steers race to 366.00. Their 364 lb. steer
calves rolled to 374.00. Denavo Red Angus saw their 637 lb. heifers mark
315.00. Keri McDonald’s 331 lb. Red baldy h/c topped 364.00.
Woodjam Ranch’s 455 lb. Black heifers sold to 332.50. Marguerite
Ranch’s 2135 lb. butcher bulls hit 180.00. Ron & Judy Emmelkamps
900 lb. replacement heifers sold to 228.00, their 1733 lb. kill cows brought
137.75. Lance and Kristine Brownscombe’s 878 lb. 2 year old heifer s
brought 226.00. Royce & Joanne Cook dispersed some powerful Black
Angus Purebred and Commercial cow/calf pairs. The cows were young
and the calves huge as some were born in January of this year. The pure-
bred pair traded to 9900.00 selling to the Cutting Edge Cattle Co./Wayne &
Tiffany Pincott of 100 Mile BC. The Mountain Ash Angus Ranch
KAMLOOPS SALE—TUESDAY MAY 26TH
Another excellent sale here in Kamloops with 500 head on offer. Prices on
all classes were strong. Liz Allen from Lillooet saw her 1385 lb. butcher
cows mark 143.75 and 1525 lb. cows to 145.50. Pemberton Valley Farms
1670 lb. cow 143.75. Cam Ensign from Kelowna saw his 645 lb. Hereford
steers mark 305.00. Pemberton Valley Farms 933 lb. Angus cross steers
raced to 227.00. The Buck Lake Ranch 800 lb. steers marked 258.00. Ian
& Jo Nelson saw their high yielding 1550 lb. butcher cows mark
144.75. Chinook Cove Ranches showcased a beautiful pen of replace-
ment heifers 871 lb. trading to 234.50. The Buck Lake Ranch 800 lb.
steers marked 258.00. Mark Kuurne of Pemberton saw their 700 lb. Black
steers top 297.00, their 478 lb. Black s/c hit 350.00 and the 500 lb. s/c
rolled to 346.00. Kuurne’s group of 503 lb. Black h/c reached 320.00, the
401 lb. h/c hit 330.00. Karl Hutchings 608 lb. Black steers sold to 301.50.
Roger Zinck’s 1405 lb. butcher cows hit 147.50, his 720 lb. heifers
brought 258.00. OK Ranches 1880 lb. butcher bulls hit 179.50. Seven O
Ranches 1800 lb. bull topped 177.50. Coldstream Ranches big group
of 22 head of butcher cows 1355 lb. raced to 143.75.

VANDERHOOF SALE—FRIDAY MAY 22ND
800 head of cattle sold in Vanderhoof. John Bree sold 508 lb. Black,
Bwf heifer calves for 320.00 and 434 lb h/c at 330.50. Keith Hart sold 744
lb. steers for 288.00 and 660 lb. Angus steers for 325.25. Phil Klassen sold
945 lb. steers for 231.00. Lone Fir Ranch Rwf steers 775 lb. traded to
270.00 and 687 lb. X steers at 300.00. Eric Newmeister sold 698 lb.
Angus X heifers for 253.00 and 734 lb. heifers at 253.00. John Vala sold
783 lb. Angus X heifers for 235.00 and 671 lb. heifers for 264.00. Always
Angus / Kevin McCreery of Telkwa sold some fancy heifers averaging
849 lb. traded to 224.50. DMS Ranch sold 916 lb. Angus steers for
228.75. Clint Lambert sold 980 lb. heiferettes for 209.00.
