Kith & Kin and Eastern Biological, two emerging lifestyle brands that celebrate the natural world, have announced they will be collaborating on a

tropically themed festive pop-up shop opening at Fount London – a new family destination in London Fields.

Both east London based businesses pride themselves with likeminded ethos’. Kith & Kin create homewares and gifts from sustainable materials, harnessing the creativity of the local community. They assemble their products in an ethical setting that benefits the environment, as well as their own welfare. Eastern Biological, London’s first independent natural history gift shop responsibly sources products from across the globe – selling items ranging from books, screen prints, stationery, toys and curiosities.

“We are both enthused by nature and wildlife, and care deeply about the way we live, sustainability and the environment around us,” says owner of Kith & Kin, Ciara Phelan. “We’re delighted to be working together in this space, combining both our philosophies and contemporary styles to showcase something completely unique.”

Both businesses founded in 2014 have been building a solid customer base throughout the year. Kith & Kin has mainly been exhibiting at tradeshows, whilst Eastern Biological has been operating as an online shop, and has also opened pop-up shops on Redchurch Street and Columbia Road.

“This is my first year of trading, and my third pop-up venture,” says owner of Eastern Biological, Alfred Addis. “I was often told with the previous pop-ups, that my natural history gift shop is like a ‘toy-shop for adults’. So I’m thrilled to be finishing this year, bringing smiles with one more festive pop-up alongside Kith & Kin. I first and foremost want our shop to be a fun and interesting place to be, as well as aiming to inspire an appreciation for the natural world.”

To celebrate this collaboration, Kith & Kin and Eastern Biological have created a joint botanical gift box, their own branded notebooks and other goodies within, all for a special discounted price. This will only be available for the duration of the pop-up shop this Christmas time at Fount London.
