GENERAL RULES AND REGULATIONS l The participating school teams should report at school by 8.45 am. l Students should be preferably escorted by three teachers including the art teacher. l Registration form addressed to the Principal should reach the school on or before 25 June 2016 l Registration is free. l Lunch and tea will be provided. l All the necessary accessories and items for every event should be brought by the participating school. l The valedictory function will start at 2.45 pm (08-07-2016). Atleast one teacher and a student representative is to be present for the valedictory function from each school 7 Instagram - an invite to budding camera persons to ‘snap up’ creative shots on the theme given on the spot. Delve into those heavy trunks, dust ornate silks and brocades, drape diaphanous veils, string pearls and rubies... yes... it is a Mughal theme party... with one girl dressed in her traditional Mughal best and the other rivalling her in modern Mughal- inspired attire. RULES l The contest is open for students of Classes VIII and above. l A school can send a team of three students. l The teams will have 2 hours to capture the essence of the theme. l Monochromes are permissible. l Post processing of any sort is not allowed. l A team can submit a maximum of three entries. l Entries should have a short caption justifying the theme. l Teams can use any kind of digital camera except mobile cameras. l RCJPS would reserve the right to use the photographs and post them publicly. l Competition will start at 9 am. Acrylic Painting Competition - Topic ‘Pelagic Panache’ (Sea Scenes)(Class VIII to XII)

RULES

One participant from each category Duration will be 2.30 hrs.l

Topics will be given at the Venue Paper and Canvas will be provided.l

Students should bring painting materials Separate participants should be sent for l

Water Colour Painting and Acrylic Painting.

RULES l A medley of movie songs, in three languages(Tamil, Malayalam, Hindi) celebrating any three

aspects of womanhood.

l The contest is open to students of class VIII – XII

l The total number of participants should be 10 of which the singers should be 4 and the orchestra-6.

l Criteria: Vocal Harmony, instrumentation, synchronization, presentation, total performance

l Drums will be provided

l Time allotted:15 minutes of which 5 minutes will be allotted for stage setting.

l Pre- recorded music and rhythm loops are not allowed.

RULES

l The contest is open for students of Classes VIII and above.

l A school can send a team of 5 students.

l The medium of presentation must be English.

l Participants must adhere to the theme.

l Only videos from 1 – 10 minutes in length, including credits will be accepted.

l Teams can use any digital recording equipment.

l The screening of the film will be followed by an open defence round.

l Entries have to be submitted in duplicate in DVD format.

l The name of the film must be written on the DVD.

l RCJPS reserves the right to use the short films and post them publicly.

l Costume relevant to the theme permitted during presentation.

Be the breath of change by working creatively on the caption. Present workable scenarios to alleviate problems caused by a system bogged down by unfair reservations, out-dated jaded ways of thinking and monotonous routines.

Your video should capture innovative yet workable solutions.

Re-visit these timeless classics -‘The Merchant of Venice’, ‘Treasure Island’, ‘A Christmas Carol’ or ‘Alice in Wonderland’.

Invite any one character from any one of these greats to explore modern India.

The result...? Up to you!!!

Create a 10 minute original skit.

The skit will be judged on its humour, creativity, language, histrionics and relevance.
