Mod- ereger was introduced to the sport back in the mid-1930s when he worked as a pin setter at a bowling alley above the 33rd Bar, now known as OʼMalleyʼs. CHICAGO (AP) — Grain fu- tures were mosly higher Monday on the Chicago Board of Trade. Wheat for Sept delivery was 3.25 cents lower at $5.3475 a bushel; Sept corn was 4.75 cents higher at 3.6775 a bushel; Dec oats were 5 cents higher at $3.375 a bushel; while Nov soybeans ad- vanced 24.25 cents to $11.0775 a bushel. Beef was mixed and pork washigher on the Chicago MercantileExchange.

August live cattle fell .05 centsto $1.5905 a pound; August feedercattle was 1.92 cent higher at$2.2017 a pound; while August leanhogs rose .05 cent to $1.2367 apound.
