DAY 2: Nairobi / Lake Nakuru Distance from Nairobi the park: 156 km

After breakfast, we drive to Lake Nakuru National Park, which means “Dust or Dusty Place” in the Masai language. Situated the floor of the Great Rift Valley, surrounded by wooded and bushy grassland, lies the beautiful Lake Nakuru National Park. The park is fenced off as a sanctuary to protect the highly endangered Rothschild giraffes as well as both black and white rhinos. Bird species that inhabit the lake and the surrounding area including flamingo’s, African fish eagle, Goliath heron, hammerkop, pied kingfisher and Verreaux eagle. Enjoy an afternoon game drive. Overnight at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge (standard room) with lunch, dinner and breakfast included.

DAY 3: Lake Nakuru / Masai Mara National Reserve Distance between the parks: 235 km

We leave the lake area behind and drive through the Rift Valley to the Masai Mara National Reserve, followed by an afternoon game drive in the park in search of lions and leopards, herds of plains game and elephants, beautiful birds and elegant giraffes. Return to camp as sunset. Overnight at the Mara Leisure Camp (tent) with lunch, dinner & breakfast included.

DAY 4: Masai Mara National Reserve Optional Activity: Balloon Safari

Book an early morning balloon safari (will be for your account and is not included in your package – highly recommended by us) and enjoy floating over the Masai Mara with its enchanting scenery and fantastic wildlife or enjoy a full day with game drives. The annual highlight is the Great Wildebeest Migration (between end July and end of October), creating one of the world's greatest natural spectacles. The wildebeest create a magnificent sight when they enter into the Mara and cross the crocodile-infested waters of the Mara River. Overnight at the Mara Leisure Camp (tent) with lunch, dinner & breakfast included.

DAY 5: Masai Mara National Reserve / Nairobi Distance between the parks: 280 km

Enjoy the morning in the Masai Mara with game drives. With luck, you will see some of the "Big Five", and most certainly you will be impressed by the wide variety of species present in this area. The Masai Mara has the highest concentration of land mammals compared to all other parks in Kenya! Return to the lodge for lunch before driving back to Nairobi via Narok Country and the Rift Valley. Overnight at Sarova Panafric Hotel (standard room) with lunch, dinner & breakfast included.

DAY 6: Nairobi / Amboseli National Park Distance between the parks: 240 km

We head south to the Amboseli National Park, stopping en-route at a supermarket in Nairobi for last minute shopping (buy drinks to enjoy in your vehicles while on safari – remember we have mini fridges in our vehicles to keep your drinks cold). Amboseli is known for its huge elephant herds and dramatic backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro. We'll arrive at the Lodge in time for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive. Sometimes described as ‘Africa's Elephant Park', it is true that the area is one of the best places in Africa to observe elephants at close range. Aside from this, there are 56 known animal species in the park, and you are likely to see zebra, white-bearded wildebeest, eland, buffalo, hartebeest, hippo, giraffe, waterbuck, Thomson's and Grant's gazelle and impala. If you are lucky, you may also come across big cats such as lion and cheetah, as well as hyena. Overnight at Kilima Safari Camp (tent) with lunch, dinner & breakfast included.

The permanent Enkongo Narok and Olokenya Swamps, fed by subterranean streams are home to hippo, elephants and a wide range of aquatic birds, among them long-toed lapwing, painted snipe, great white pelican and grey crowned-crane. Extend Your Stay!!

With just a short flight from Nairobi, Zanzibar is the perfect post-safari tonic. The beautiful island of

Zanzibar is bursting with culture and history, seemingly at odds with its idyllic white-sand beaches with palms swaying lazily in the sea breeze. It makes Zanzibar a fabulous place to explore as well as a dream

destination to relax and unwind in.

Kenya's coast offers a great beach getaway after any Kenya safari. With a coastline of over 300 miles of palm-fringed beaches includes Diani Beach (Mombasa) with its glistening white sands and Watamu with its

crystal clear waters and an underwater world of wonders. Excellent for snorkelling and diving.

We recommend 3 to 4 nights add-on.
