    I am pleased to present the first catalogue of the Khlig Antriebs-technik GmbH KAG in brief. The catalogue reflects the range of services of the KAG and offers you below a comprehensive insight into our range of products and our expertise.

For the construction of an individual entire drive, you will receive the motors and attachment parts at KAG within short delivery times.

    The following pages offer you an overview of the KAG standard motors as well as the gear motors with all data that is important for you. Our KAG Custom Solutions offer customer-specific solutions and corresponding attachment parts. Information on this can be found from page 192 onwards.

    From the idea up to the finished individual solution technical innovations are developed in our laboratory.

    In addition to the modern workplaces in our construction and development department, the laboratory offers a decisive element in the development cycle at KAG. Here, those things are proven to be a success that are running smoothly later on. Digital microscope, salt spray chamber, thermal and acoustic cameras as well as temperature and climatic test chambers with these devices and other modern devices, our engineers design and test our products.

    This way, we ensure that our products meet your demands.

  • The KAG Drive Configurator Versatility and efficiency.

    The KAG standard programme proven solutions.The basis of our range of services does already cover a broad spectrum of possible areas of application. Both the motors and the attachment part such as gearboxes and encoders are manufactured according to the high tech-nical requirements of the economy and industry and are immediately available.

    Of course, adaptable basic modules for series production are also included (see page 192, KAG Custom Solutions). Moreover, solo motors for small series ex warehouse are immediately available.

    The result of combinations of our standard pro-ducts is an enormous versatility of solutions for the quality requirements of modern production.

    You will receive quick solutions for small series and samples at KAG within one week. A selection aid can also be found on the internet with our product configurator at

    KAG Custom Solutions the perfect drive.You have specific requirement regarding your drive? We build your motor using all parameters such as winding number and winding thickness, size of housing, continuous output and peak output. Thereby, we support you in calculating and developing complete sub-assemblies. No matter what drives you we are responsible for the solution.

  • Example:For starting up, a drive is operated for 500 msec with the 2-fold nominal torque, after-wards for driving, for 2 sec with the 0.5-fold nominal torque and for braking, for 500 msec with the 1.8-fold nominal torque. The break is 1 sec.

    The nominal torque of the selected drive is Mn = 30 Ncm.

    The condition that is equal or smaller than the nominal torque is fulfilled. Thus, the drive can be used.

    Here you can see the performance overview and information on the permissible continuous output power of the KAG-motors of our standard motors, designed for the maximum performance in continuous operation S1.

    Using the formula effective torque, you can calculate to what extent you can overload the motor in short-time intermittent operation:

    Due to the fact that our motors can be used in a wide range of applications e.g. for door automation the result is, in combination with gearboxes, encoders and brakes, a flexible system with great solution potential.
