KALI RAM D.A.V. PUBLIC SCHOOL,SAFIDON Consolidated Report on Fit India School Week (21th to 27th NOVEMBER,2019)

KALI R(((A(*M DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL, SAFIDOTo supplement the efforts of the Ministry of India our school Kali Ram DAV PublicSchool, Safidon welcomed the initiative and the students, teachers and staff cameforward very enthusiastically to celebrate 'FIT INDIA SCHOOL WEEK'.We initiatedthis weeklong activity with a great belief that not only social inclusiveness will be thecorporate mantra for going ahead, but as a responsible member, we have alwaysincorporated sensitivity towards social aspects in our all activities. Our school aims tochange the outlook of the young generation. We strive to increase environmentalawareness and initiate improvement drives to help its students, staff and facultymembers. Our school chalked out a comprehensive programme in which everyone wasable to play his/her role. It is indeed worthy to state that there was an active involvementof parents and residents of the city in this programme along with our school. Theprogramme started on 21-11-2019 and continued till 27-11-2019. Though each member

of the staff was a part of this grand programme, some staff members were given specialresponsibilities and they were made in-charges of various activities with teams to assistto see the successful accomplishment of the activity and the smooth going of the overallprogramme. . The record of day to day activities was meticulously prepared &maintained .

FIT INDIA SCHOOL WEEK

DAY 1: (21/11/2019): Fit India School Week began quite enthusiastically on 21st Nov. 2019. At the onset, afterthe all faith prayer in the morning assembly the students were made aware about fitness,health and proper diet by worthy Principal Mrs Rashmi Vidyarthi.. She discussed aboutthe harmful effects of junk food. She appealed to every student to prepare a diet chartand do exercises and yoga regularly. Yoga was done by each and every student of theschool under the supervision of Mr Gulshan Walia (PTI) and Mrs Kamaljeet Kaur (PTI).

DAY: 2 (22/11/2019 ):

On the second day,some free hand exercises were done by students after morning prayer.This was really the best way to channelize their energy. A lecture on 'Healthy MindLives in a Healthy Body' was delivered by sports psychologist Mr.Gulshan. He told thestudents the ways to be healthy physically and mentally.

DAY: 3 (23/11/2019): It was wonderful to peep into the young hearts and minds and know what they feltabout this progrmme. Thus, Kali Ram DAV Public School, Safidon organized a PosterMaking Competition for the students of IX to XII classes. The students poured out theirfeelings on paper as words and colours respectively. It was overwhelming to see whatthey dream and plan to do in future for health. This competition was conducted by MrsSangeeta Singla (Art Teacher) and Mr Ajay (Art Teacher). The result is as follws: Poster Making Competition: First - Riya- XII A4Second - Nehar- XII A4Third - Amisha-XII A4

DAY:4 (25/11/2019): On the fourth day of this campaign, physical activities were arranged for each and ever student. The games such as, kho-kho, kabaddi , basketball etc. were played very enthusiastically. This precautionary step was taken by Mr Gulshan Walia (PTI ) and MrsKamaljeet (PTI). Essay Writing Competition was also organized by Mr Sandeep Sharma(TGT-English) and Mrs Meena (PRT-Hindi) on the topic 'Fit India Hit India'. This competition was conducted in two languages: Hindi & English. DAY: 5 (26/11/2019):

Fifth day was observed as follow up the previous activities. On this day, Fitness/Sports

Quiz Competition was organized for the students under the able guidance of Mr Gulshan

Walia( PTI).The students were divided in teams consisting 2 participants in each team

and it was a brief assessment to know the knowledge about the certain topic/subject.

This is a beautiful way to measure the growth in knowledge, ability and skills. The result

is as follows:

First - Sheya – X Vanshika - x

Second – Bhoomi- xi Prerna -x

Third - Vishal xi Prince xi

DAY: 6 (27/11/2019): Competition for students, staff and parents were were organized to celebrate the sixthday. To celebrate the unity in diversity of our nation and to maintain and strengthen thefabric of traditionally existing emotional bonds between the people of our country, weselected one game activity from partnering state. Everyone enjoyed that activity. Theycame to know about the tradition and culture of partnering country. Students feltentusiastic and a spark could be seen in their hearts. EPILOGUE FIT INDIA SCHOOL WEEK observance is an initiative at National level by theMinistry of Sports. In this week long programme (21.11.2019 to 27.11.2019) our schoolconducted all related activities to generate health awareness among youths. During thisweek our school Principal Mrs Rashmi Vidyarthi gave her valuable presence during allevents of awareness program. To make this propitious event successful she always tooka keen interest in social pursuits and has been piller strength to our campus and herastute advice that has given all through the run up to this program.
