General abbreviations and Symbols

= Accelerando; Ritardando

vib. , m.v , n.v , l.v = vibrato ; molto vibrato ; none vibrato ; let vibrate

= Crescendo dal niente ; Diminuendo al niente

= Change very gradually from one sound or way of playing to another

= Quick crescendo at the very end of versa

= as fast as possible

= highest note possible

= Tremolo shuld always be as dense as possible

= To lowest note passible

• Slightly higher or lower the intonation, which is not precisely determined size, and may reach maximum of a quarter-tone.

For Flute:

= Sing (diamond shape note) and play

= Changing the tone color with various fingering (for a single tone)

= Harmonics trill

= Vibration speed (Rhythm)

= Trumpet sound

= Flutter tongue

= Aeolian sound

• The “Wah-Wah Tube” is changeable with a large size Triangle played with a soft mallet.

For Piano: P.I = Right (Damper) pedal P.II = Middle (Sostenuto) pedal

P.III = Left (Una Corda) pedal

= A chromatic cluster within approximate register

/ = Mouth positions (when singing): Closed mouth / Open mouth

= Tap on the strings with palm

• All the voices can be transposed to upper or lower octaves according to the voice register of pianist.

• All other instructions are written in the score.
