today the company is focusing on three vital product groups. the first is the Fresh Water Maker which is a product developed and manufactured by EMt using Reverse Osmosis for producing Fresh Water from sea water. Secondly EMt also produces a variety of hSE Equipment such as Belt Barriers developed for offshore use, Closing and Self-Closing Doors/ Gates. Finally EMt is supplying Life Saving Equipment such as lifeboats and rescue boats with corresponding launching appliances/davits. EMt has well skilled staff with experience from the lifesaving-, offshore- and yard industry ready to assist you at any time. EMt has established a quality system based on ISO 9001 2000, in 2009 the company was approved by achilles JqS. In 2007 and 2008 the company also recived the “Gazelle” award in norway for being one of the most fast growing companies in norway.

The Eide Marine Tech series of totally enclosed lifeboats is designed and approved in accordance with the latest amendments to the international SOLAS regulations, the LSA code and the European Union Council Marine Equipment Directive (MED 96/98 EC) as well as the rules of the world´s major classification societies. The lifeboats are also tested to ensure that they meet life/rescue boat requirements.

The hull and enclosure are both of approved fire-protected GRP structure with buoyancy provided by polyurethane foam. Complete delivery with on/off simultaneous release lifting hook system, SOLAS-approved water-cooled diesel engine with equipment and fittings of high standard stainless steel. Our tanker version totally enclosed lifeboats are fitted with a water spray system and compressed air supply cylinders, providing good fire protection and breathing air in an emergency situation.

The manufacturer has a specialized production workshop equipped with temperature and humidity control, advanced moulding equipment, a computerized management system and a complete range of testing facilities for life-saving equipment. The factory has ISO9001 approval and updated classification societies work approval, including EC approvals.

Fast Rescue BoatsEide Marine Tech´s fast rescue boats built in accordance with current IMO regulations. All RO-RO Pax vessels are required to have fast rescue boats with a minimum length of 6 m and a top speed of at least 20 knots. The boats are fully in compliance with these requirements, and all equipment has been approved in accordance with latest IMO/MSC requirements. Outboard and inboard engines are available in various sizes. In compliance with the latest SOLAS regulations and come with EC requirements.

Rescue/MOB BoatsEide Marine Tech´s range of rescue boats consists of the 425 and 500 with outboard propulsion and the new 450 model with inboard diesel engine. All boats are made in fire retardant GRP and have full SOLAS and EC approval. The 425 model is one of the most competitive GRP rescue boats of its kind on the market.
