Have a great week Dan Murtas Hello everyone, It’s week 9 and there are great initiatives happening at KSPS! It has been excellent to see the number of parents taking the opportunity to take the time to participate in a personalised learning plan meeting for their children. From my observations, parent and teacher feedback, the meetings have been very productive as students have a PLP where their new learning goals and strategies are outlined to assist student improvement. This time of year we celebrate student success and many classes have already done this in a culminating event. This Thursday the Care Disco will also be held for the winning House Team. Well done Buchanan, you are the winners this term! School Parking A reminder to all parents/ visitors the staff car park is to be used by STAFF ONLY. Staff are finding that they have no space to park as spaces are being taken up by non- staff members. This also goes for the disabled car space as it is designated for disabled personnel only. It is encouraged that drop offs are performed at the ‘Kiss and Go’ zone to avoid any safety issues. I welcome your support with this. SRC to squash bullying at KSPS Our Student Representative Council have been working hard to implement strategies to ‘squash’ bullying at our school. This has been identified as a main focus for the SRC and they have been very proactive to this point to spread the word among their peers. Last Friday our SRC assisted in running our Harmony Hay assembly that coincided with the National Day of Action Against Bullying. It has been great to see students being proactive in the playground using their strategies to combat and prevent bullying. I look forward to more great work being done around this from our SRC.
