Planetary Geared Starter with Universal Nicad HolderLeave your starter battery at home. Uses standard "Sub-C" (1,300 mAh +) nicad packs in any combination tomake 10 to 12 cells total, i.e. two 5's, two 6's, one 5 and one 6, or one 5 and one 7. Many people have leftover5-, 6- or 7-cell nicad packs or can purchase them cheaply because of the great numbers manufactured forelectric cars, boats and airplanes. For ultimate starting power, use two 6-cell packs or one 5-cell pack andone 7-cell pack. A special charger is not required; simply unplug the series connector and use a standardcharger to individually charge the two packs. Required but not included: 2x nicad packs and Kyosho/ Tamiyastyle connectors for your Nicad packs (2x Order No. 0643). It can pump in forward or reverse direction; hook the pump to a power panelswitch or use a DPDT (double pole-double throw) switch. A brass ring around the neckeliminates the "split neck" common in some tanks using an expansion stopper. SuperLight Scale AirWheelsScale AirWheels are designed to safely absorb the shock associated with landing large or heavy model airplanes. Available in two styles, Scale Treaded AirWheels sport amodern appearance with longitudinally grooved tires. Scale Balloon AirWheels give a more vintage appearance with smooth tires. If desired, the two-piece hub allows forhidden installation of the wheel collars. Tires inflate using a bicycle pump to a maximum of 1 bar (14 psi). SIG Glass ClothExcellent for reinforcing critical strength areas of model airplanes such as the firewall attachment, wing center section, and landing gearinstallation. Model boat builders use it for covering the bottom of a wooden boat hull for extra strength and puncture resistance. Use polyesterglass resin or slow-drying epoxy glue to saturate the Glass Cloth and adhere it to the model structure. Glass Cloth and resin can also be used tomold entire model parts, such as a whole airplane fuselage. Cowlings, wheel pants, and any other model parts that have a lot of compound curvesare also especially suited to fiberglass construction. Some modelers use the ultra-light weight Glass Cloth as a covering material for their entiremodel, especially when epoxy or enamel paint is going to be used. SIG KoverallKoverall is a cloth covering of the type used on full-scale aircraft, but in a lighterweight (42 g/m²) for models. Koverall can be used on almost all R/C models largeor small. Its superior strength and low price has made Koverall a real favorite withbuilders of giant size models. Koverall is uncoated Polyester based heat shrinkablefabric. It has no glue on it. To adhere Koverall to a model, you can either put it ontraditional silk-and-dope method, or use SIG Stix-It (or similar product such asBalsaloc) heat activated covering adhesive. Just brush a coat of Stix-It on the modelframework, let it dry, and then iron-on the Koverall just like you would an iron-onfabric covering. Once the Koverall is stuck down around the edges, it can beshrunk tight with an iron or heat gun. Seal the Koverall with 1 - 2 coats of nitrateclear dope and then apply the finish of your choice. Accepts all common modelpaints such as dope, enamel or epoxy.
