Early rising means health and happiness. The man, who gets up late, doesn't have enough

rest in the course of the day. Anyone who stays in the bed late has to work till a late hour in

the evening. He has to work quickly and continuously. In spite of all his efforts, his work will

not be as good as that of the early riser. The reason for this is that he can't benefit from the

refreshing hours of the morning when the mind is fresh and active.

Some people say that the quiet hour of mid-night is the best time for working. But doctors

say the opposite. They say that sleeping before midnight is the most refreshing and sleeping

after midnight is against nature. Allah says that night is made for rest and the day is made for

working. Muslims are advised to get up early to pray, so they must sleep early.

Early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise.

Read the following passage then answer the questions below :

We don't know how the first fire was made . Early fires on Earth were caused by nature,

not by man. At first, man, like animals , was probably afraid of fire. He saw that fire could

destroy a forest. He knew that fire could hurt his body. So great was the power of fire that he

feared it and prayed to it. Now fire is no longer a master or a God, it is a servant for man.

Throughout the ages, man has learned more about fire, how to control it and how to use it

in many ways. We can only guess how man learned that fire was useful and what uses he

could make of it. By taking a burning stick from fire which had been started by nature, he

could make a fire at his own "home" or cave. He could keep the fire burning by adding more

dry grass, leaves and wood. The fire served the purpose of frightening animals away. Then,

he discovered, by accident, that meat was grilled in front of or on fire and tasted better and

would keep longer without being spoiled. Again, he found how fire could be used for

cooking and then for making certain metals.

After this discovery he made the metal by heating the ore in his fire. He also found out

how to make the metal which we now call bronze. It was hard and tough, but man could

shape it and make tools for cutting things.

Read the following passage then answer the questions:

An old man worked as a night watchman outside a bank. He had to walk round the bank all

night and shout for help if he saw a thief. But the old man was very lazy. He didn't like

walking. He liked to lie on his back and sleep. At the same time he wanted people to think

Once a night, he shouted "stop thief" .Then he blew his whistle. The police soon came and
