BITLOCKER ENCRYPTION

1.)Go to My Computer and Right click on the Drive to which you have to encrypt and you will get the below options:Select “Turn On Bitlocker”.

2.)You will get the below options, choose “Use a password to unlock the drive”.

3.)Type the password and the click on “Next”.

4.) Select the “Save to a File” option and click “Next”.

5.) Then it will generate the Recovery key, save it in C Drive with in a Folder “Bitlocker Key” as follows:

6.) This is the Automatic generated Bitlocker recovery key. Once you forget the password, you can open the Drive by the use of Recovery Key.

7.) Select the “Encrypt entire drive” option and click on Next button.

8.) Click on “Start Encrypting”.

9.) It will starts the encryption of the Drive and it will takes 35-45 minutes to complete the encryption.
