It will be held at Greenville Col-

lege, Greenville, IL. This is a

great camp for Youth to spend a

week. They will be trained to be

bold and to lead out in their

faith. If you have not paid your

fee, it is $150. The DBC bus

leaves on Tuesday, June 26 at

10am. You will need spending money for lunch there and on the

way back. We plan to return on June 30 around 2pm. Talk to

Bro. Brent if you have any questions.

Wednesday evenings at 5pm, Bro. Brent will be gathering the Youth together for Bible Study and different activities. Please attend because there will be a payoff trip to Holiday World to those who attend at least 3 of these sessions. Please see Bro. Brent for details.

Delta Regional Authority, Rides Mass Transit and Shawnee Mass Transit District partnering to pro-

vide transportation to no-cost medical services event in Harrisburg, June 18-27.

Those needing access to medical screenings, dental exams and optometry screenings can access public transportation at no cost to attend the Delta Regional Authority’s Southern Care Event taking place June 18-27 in Harrisburg.

Members of the military will be offering the no-cost medical screenings to the public with no income or residency requirements at Harrisburg Middle School from 8am-6pm with the exception of June 24 and 27 when hours are from 8am-1pm.

Residents from Carbondale along with Saline, Gallatin, Hardin, Pope and Williamson counties can call 844-220-1243 to schedule their transportation on any Rides Mas Transit District’s existing routes. Those from Hamilton and White counties can con-tact 844-718-1882.

Youth, we will be participating in a Home Mission project starting

on June 9 and ending on June 12. We will be helping with the Habitat For Humanity House in Harrisburg. We will start at 8am and work until 2pm. Most of the work will be inside work. Youth, we will go to a Cardinal game on Friday, June 13. You may attend this trip as long as you work at least 3 days out of the scheduled

4 days. We will leave the church parking lot at 3pm for the game and return that evening.

Home Mission Project

Well, VBS 2018 is in the books. We had a great time, but it went by quickly. We had an average of 161 kids attend, 22 youth that volunteered, 66 adults volun-teering. Altogether and average of 249 participants. We want to thank each and everyone who helped, taught, prepared food, prayed, provided transportation and especially the parents that made

sure their children came. The total offerings came to $504.72. The boys won by just a small margin. Please note there are still some shirts left. They sale for $7. Follow up is being done on decisions that were made by the children.

I know our November packing party seems such a long time off. In OCC

terms it is just around the corner. We are planning our boxes all year long.

Each month we ask for a specific item that will go into shoeboxes at our No-

vember packing party. During the month of June, we are asking for note-books and calculators. Our items for July are pens and pencils. When you bring these items, please put them in the big wooden box (looks like an OCC shoebox) in the foyer. Also, we are in need of buttons, all sizes and colors.

bring the Good News to a lost world. Please remember to save your used litera-ture and place it in the upstairs closet or put it outside your class room door. This literature will be sent to Butler, IL to be packaged up and sent to countries that desperately need Bibles, Sunday School literature, Christian magazines and books. Love Packages have shipped out over 530 tons of used materials this year already.
