European Map 2011 : User Manual Welcome on the European Map, made for you to recover the West European countryside. You will recognize familiar landscape, with a hilly terrain, a lot of forests, various-size fields and two farmhouses. The European Map 2011 is based on the 2009 version with same name. Regular players will retrieve some features shared by both versions like for exemple the same crops : wheat, barley, rape, corn, sugarbeet and sunflower. However, with LS 2011's new possibilities, some modifications were needed to be able to use all features that were originally present on the map. These are explained further. 1

European Map 2011 : User Manual

Welcome on the European Map, made for you to recover the West European countryside.

• Features

Main farm

1) Fuel tank and seedsThe fuel tank stands under the small shed, in front of the lawn. You can refuel your tractors from the outside. On the opposite there are pallets with seeds sacks. To fill up a seeder, put it under the shed, in front of the pallets.. The key R start the filling, and you can choose the crop with the key O.

2) Pesticide tankThe pesticide tank, still in the main farm, is situated in the backyard, next to the grain silos. Once the sprayer is on the loading area, you can start the filling with the key R.

3

Page 4: keet!2

3) The grain silosThere are four silos in your farm, so you can stock your harvest to wait for better prices. You can unload your trailers in the pit, and then back a trailer under an elevator to fill up your trailer. Each silo corresponds to one crop : wheat, barley, rape, corn.

Secundary Farm

1) Grass siloA grass silo stands between the cow shed and the shed. There you can unload all trailers full of chaff, forage or grass. Cows are automatically feeded.

4

2) The feedingtroughOn the right side of the cowshed you can unload trailer full of grass ( like forage wagon )anywhere in the hallway and feed cows.

3) Manure tankThere is also liquid manure that you can spread on your fields. You can pump it in front of the cowshed.

5

4) ManureIf you feed your cows, they will produce milk as well as manure. To fill up the manure spreader, drive with a bucket in the rear part of the shed. Drive through it and the bucket will be loaded.

5) Selling strawYou can distribute straw to your cows by "selling your bale". In the central driveway of the shed, you'll find a trigger to sell the bale. Just drop it there and your bale will disappear.

Cooperative

This is where you can sell your harvest when prices are high. You can deliver wheat, barley, rape, corn and sunflower.

Sugar factory

The sugar factory is the only place where you can deliver sugarbeet. It has been buit as close as possible from the field to reduce transportation cost and ensure a quick delivery during harvest time.

• Other features

As on the original map, the milk truck will regularly come on the second farm to collect the milk and get it to the creamery.A teleportation system is available on the map to go from a place to an other one. To do so, walk through the green marker on the front of each house's door.

In the south-east side of the map, you can find a wide empty area that you can get to expand your farm.

Some features from the 2009 version couldn't be adapted on the 2011 one, like hangar opening doors, grain loading with telehandler, etc... because of a lack of time, motivation and knowledges for MP compatibility.

• Known issues

Despite uncountless hours of work and tests during the creation of the map, there are still some little issues that weren't possible to solve for us :- Some cows can take a ride out of their enclosure and walk on the road. This creates a little traffic jam with the cars coming up. This bug is considered as minor as after a while the cars re-spawn elsewhere on the map. This happens because we weren't able to correctly move the original cows.

- At the location where the truck is supposed to leave the creamery, cars stop. We don't know why this is happening as the trafficPath is trigger are placed like on the original map.

- 2 lines in the log about a wrong texture format. Unresolved as we don't know why the engine is reporting that as a bug : we are using original texture files.

- Maybe some other issues we weren't able to find out during our tests...

Here we are, at the end of the map's features. We hope you'll enjoy our work and get inspiration to create and manage your virtual farm during hours and hours on the European Map.
