KEITH® V-SWEEP™ INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

(1) Install head board with no attachments (2) Place head board at narrowest point in trailer for installing and adjusting

(3) Center head board over slats not between walls of trailer. (4) Using a square in bottom of trough for reference

(5) Using outside bolt hole for reference center headboard over slat.

(6) Same on opposite side

(7) Move to other side of the head board and square head board to walls, double check that the head board is still in center over slats.

(8) Check both sides.


(9) Push head board centering plates against walls so they just touch the walls.

(10) Same on opposite side

(11) Tighten bolts (12) Install outside trough wipers


(13) Wiper rubber will have to be trimmed to fit down into trough. (14) Measure from center of outside hole to wall.

(15) Measure from center of bolt and mark rubber using measurement from outside hole to wall.

(16) Using a square for alignment mark and cut rubber.


(17) Bend rubber and complete cut (18) Bolt trough wiper to head board pushing wiper down while tightening bolts.

(19) Wiper should be centered in bottom of trough (20) Do the same on opposite side


(21) Opposite side (22) Lay tarp on floor on discharge side of head board

(23) Align tarp holes and tarp mounting plate and bolt to head board


(24) Work across head board (25) Attach tarp here.

(26) Attach tarp in end hole install M10 x 20mm hex bolt and fender washer.

(27) Tighten bolt so tarp lays naturally in place.


(28) Install tarp same on opposite side. (29) Tarp installed

(30) Install wall wiper assemblyNote: Bottom of wall wiper bolt bar

(31) Insert carriage bolts through wall wiper bolt bar (See 35) and through slots in slope plate on head board and attach washer and nut on back side of head board.

(32) Tighten bolt so you can still move wall wiper with a rubber mallet. It has to be tight enough so bolt plate is near flat to head board to get accurate adjustment.

(33) Bottom of wall wiper bolt bar (see 35) should be against inner wall wiper mount plate (see 32) bar for accurate adjustment. Wall wiper needs to be vertical.

(34) Wall wiper needs to move up in slots on bolt plate until point of wall wiper is in corner of wall liner and trough plate.

(35) Wall wiper needs to move up more in slots.

(36) Wall wiper is in correct position at this point. (37) Make sure wall wiper is against the wall all the way up the wiper.

(38) And here (39) If it does not lay flat move the top of the wall wiper in or out in the slots in the head board by loosening top carriage bolt and leave the bottom bolt tight. Make sure the ends of the tarp are behind the wall wiper. (see 34)

(40) Move head board to discharge position of trailer so the rub-ber skid plate on the bottom of the head board is at the end of the slats when the slats are at the load end. Attach retracting strap from wench to head board so that the head board will not move any farther out of the trailer.

(41) Install access plate and bolt in place with carriage bolts and wing nuts.

(42) Headboard is ready to retract to front of the trailer. (43) Head board retracting
