develop a method of freezing

ice-cream using nothing more

than liquid nitrogen (which

comes from the air we breathe).

His technique was such a suc-

2004 he opened SubZero Ice

Who is NAO? A NAO is a 58-cm tall humanoid robot. He is a small, cute, and round headed

robot. NAO is intended to be a friendly companion around the house. He moves, recognizes

you, hears, & even talks to you. His humanoid form and extreme interactivity makes him

really enduring and lovable.

NAO is a little character with a unique combination of hardware and software: consisting of

sensors, motors and the creators dedicated operating system. It gets its magic from its

programming and animation. NAO has 25 degrees of freedom for movement, 2 cameras to see

its surroundings, an inertial measuring unit which lets him know whether upright or sitting

down, touch sensors to detect your touch and 4 directional microphones so he can hear you

talk.
