The purpose of this project is to revitalize the area of St. Paul Street previously known as the “St. Paul Quarter” to become The Hive Village. The design intent is to re-purpose three of the buildings providing interconnectivity for mixed-use occupancy. The three buildings will be designed for affordable housing, retail, restaurant and assembly occupancies. The vision extends beyond the limits of the mixed-use development and these future ideas have the potential to reinforce the development of “The Hive Village ”.

This project focus on the redevelopment of a suburban greenfield site. It required a thorough look at the neighborhood and site. Develop a site concept and go through all the stages of the design process from programming to schematic design with an emphasis on site design.
visionA place of convergence, where uses intermingle with each other in complete harmony. Bringing people to and through the site, with the establishment of amenities and uses that are underrepresented in the surrounding area as a way of serving as an economical and social catalyst. The development function as a connection between the surrounding developments, facilitating access between each other making the site and its surrounding a much more dynamic, accessible, and interesting place.

Design as a warm-up exercise to later studio projects, the playhouse must function as a atraction for kid and adult alike.
visionThe design as a working sculpture, children could climb through, enjoying its irregular interior space and the unique vantage point from its translucent panels, finally being rewarded at the end with a thrilling slide ride down to the ground.

Done while working at Linesync Architecture and located in Southern Vermont, 27 Lower Howes Road is a addition to a already existing cottage. The addition double the size of the cottage to make room for a family of four. For this project I was involved from the schematic design all the way to preperation of bid documents.
