Education Officers; Mary Mills, Catherine McHargContact; [email protected]
How can teachers find sources to use for the Dig It project?
• All of the material you have seen so far has been digitised and is available to teachers via Heritage Explorer www.heritageexplorer.org.uk
- a website aimed directly at teachers and learners
• There are over 3,500 images so far and they are all completely free to access and copyright cleared for use in schools
• They can be downloaded, copied onto worksheets, put on the school website or added to a Learning platform
• Pupils can be sent here to research – it is a safe site
• There are also ready made resources for teachers including activities for use on interactive whiteboards
