  • TRIP OVERVIEWKenya + Zanzibar is a bucket list trip for those with a desire to be fully immersed in Maasai

    culture, see native animals in their natural habitat on safari, and SCUBA dive in pristine

    waters. This expedition spans between mainland Africa and the beachy Tanzanian island of

    Zanzibar. You’ll get the chance to explore this part of Africa through immersive experiences, such as, engaging with Maasai people through

    song and dance! Moondance groups will explore conservancies home to monkeys, elephants,

    rhinos, and others as you experience game drives, even at night! Once on the island of Zanzibar,

    you’ll really plunge yourself in the water off the coast of Tanzania, enjoying the sun and the sand. These turquoise waters are begging you to jump

    in and get the best there is under the surface, experiencing another side of this amazing

    country. Experience Africa like you never have before, delving into the rich culture of Kenya +

    Zanzibar.

    EXPERIENCE HIGHLIGHTS

  • *Itinerary and order of activities subject to variation.

    DAY 1-2 Fly from the USA and arrive in Nairobi, Kenya. Once you

    arrive in Nairobi with your group, you will rest up in a nearby

    eco lodge before hitting the ground running tomorrow!

    DAY 3-5Spend the next three days in the award-winning and

    pioneering Ol Pejeta Conservancy participating in wildlife

    conservation projects and local community projects.

    Your conservation projects will vary from learning about

    conservation and the history of the endangered species

    through wildlife game drives. You will go on field visits to

    livestocks sections to understand the wildlife-integration

    program and cattle breeding within a wildlife conservancy,

    or understanding the anti-poaching dog units that include

    a demonstration of tracking and sniffing. Lastly, you’ll have

    the opportunity to assist the community in the areas where

    they need the most help. These projects could be building a

    new school or toilet block, teaching English, playing sports,

    or tree planting in the grounds.

    DAY 6Today, you will travel to Lake Naivasha, a large freshwater

    lake full of flamingo, hippos, rhinos, and giraffes. Your

    group will take a beautiful boat ride across the lake to try

    and see the wildlife even closer!

  • DAY 7-10Experience the most magical and world famous Maasai Mara

    National Reserve, as you venture on game drives, visit a local

    market, learn about the Maasai culture, and work with the

    local environment and community.

    DAY 11Now it’s time to go from safari to scuba! Take a plane ride to

    the beautiful Tanzanian island of Zanzibar and get ready to

    see the world below the water.

    DAY 12-15Experience wildlife under the sea, as you go through the

    PADI scuba certification. Your group will learn everything

    you need to know about scuba diving and then put your

    knowledge to the test in the great Indian Ocean.

    DAY 16-17The next two days will be bittersweet, as you make your way

    from Africa to the U.S., but not before your group has a final

    banquet and reminisces on the wonderful trip you’ve had!
