Can Mi-T-M heaters be used indoors?Fuel burning portable heaters are intended to be used in a well ventilated area. Please refer to your operator’s manual for the fresh air requirements.

How do I size a portable heater?The most important factor when sizing a portable heater is the amount of space you have to heat. A general rule of thumb is that you can heat approximately 25 square feet for every 1000 BTUs a heater puts out.

What type of heater is better, one that runs on Fuel Oil or LP?All of the approved fuels for Mi-T-M portable heaters have great energy value and one doesn’t stand out over another. Your application and the fuel that you have available are going to determine which fuel to use.

Do all portable heaters require electricity?Mi-T-M portable heaters that have a blower motor or a fuel pump will require electricity to power them. All Kerosene forced air, LP and Natural Gas forced air and radiant heaters require electricity. The convection heater, outdoor patio heater and the tank top heaters do not require electricity.

Intertek's ETL Semko division has been the global leader in the testing, inspection and certification of products for over 100 years, dating back to Thomas Edison's Electrical Testing Laboratories (ETL). The ETL listed mark is the legal equivalent of the UL-listed and CSA-listed marks, designated by OSHA and the Standards Council of Canada. When Mi-T-M products bear Intertek's proprietary ETL-listed mark, the letters ETL will carry with them a long history of innovation, influence and independence.

UL, "Underwriters Laboratories Inc.", the trusted source across the globe for product compliance. UL has tested products for public safety for more than a century. UL offers one of the conformity assessment industry's broadest portfolios of capabilities and certification marks. Their unique mix of local expertise in global markets and deep industry knowledge helps bring safer products to market.

Mi-T-M Corporation's pressure washers have received certification from CETA under the CETA Performance Certification Standard. This standard clearly defines performance criteria and test procedures for certification of hot and cold water pressure washers. CETA certification guarantees the buyer that products are designed, built and tested to rigid performance standards. Machines must operate within +/-5% of advertised performance rating. Data for all Performance Certified models are on file at CETA headquarters, and periodic peer reviews ensure constant quality.

The International Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code establishes rules of safety governing the design, fabrication and inspection of boilers and pressure vessels, and nuclear power plant components during construction. In the formulation of its rules and in the establishment of maximum design and operating pressures, the Committee considers technological advances including materials, construction, methods of fabrication, inspection, certification, and overpressure protection.

The objective of the rules is to provide a margin of deterioration in service. Advancements in design and material and the evidence of experience are constantly being added by Addenda.

Originating in 1914, the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code is now adopted in part or in its entirety, by 49 states and numerous municipalities and territories of the United States and all the provinces of Canada.

CSA International is the principal product testing, certification and standards development organization serving the gas industry in the US and Canada.

They are the number one source for gas product approvals in North America and the only organization that issues the familiar Blue Star mark for the US and Blue Flame mark for Canada.

CSA International is uniquely qualified to test and certify that gas appliances and accessories meet applicable US standards. Since 1925, the Blue Star approval mark has been the mark of choice for gas-fired appliances and accessories in the US. We test products for conformance with all applicable ANSI and CSA gas standards. CSA marked products are used and sold in the US everyday.

The Warnock Hersey Mark (WH) is North Americas leading product safety and performance mark for building and construction products. Products bearing the WH Mark indicate compliance to relevant building codes, association criteria, and product safety and performance standards.

The WH Mark can be found on more than 6,500 products ranging from fire doors and builders hardware to hearth, plumbing and construction products. Having Intertek's WH Mark on your product reflects your commitment to product safety, performance and quality to inspectors, builders and end users. The mark also signifies that the products manufacturing site(s) undergo periodic follow-up inspections to ensure ongoing compliance of the originally certified product.

Sales PolicyProducts are sold through authorized Mi-T-M dealers, National Accounts and OEMs as recognized by Mi-T-M. All new customers must complete a credit application. Mi-T-M will perform a credit check and upon approval, the customer will receive an account number and a line of credit.

Production ScheduleCustomers can anticipate a lead time of one week for cold water pressure washers, air compressors, air compressor/generators, air compressor/generator/welders, portable generators, portable heaters, jobsite boxes, and wet/dry vacuums; a two week lead time for hot water pressure washers. Special units will require additional lead time.

ShippingOrders shipped without specific shipping instructions are shipped "best way" as determined by Mi-T-M shipping department. Mi-T-M assumes no responsibility and makes no guarantees regarding air freight deliveries. Please allow seven working days before requesting tracking on lost or late shipments. In an effort to deliver Mi-T-M products to our customers in a timely manner, Mi-T-M developed a program where whole goods (pressure washers, air compressors, air compressor/generators, air compressor/generator/welders, portable generators, portable heaters, jobsite boxes, and wet/dry vacuums) and parts are shipped from separate locations in our facility. Our freight policy has not changed. Our customers are still responsible for outgoing freight on parts and whole goods. This may be altered by any minimum qualifying freight programs. Because our goal is to process all orders as soon as we receive them, our system will no longer allow additional items to be added to a previously processed order. Any additional orders will be handled as a new order.

WarrantyAll warranty claims and returns of goods for repair shall be governed by the express terms of the Mi-T-M warranty, as provided in the conditions of our warranty, and limited to the replacement of defective parts, as provided in the conditions of the Mi-T-M warranty. Merchandise ReturnMi-T-M must be contacted before any product can be returned. The customer will receive a Returned Goods Authorization (RGA) number prior to the item being returned. Mi-T-M reserves the right to refuse returned products. Products must be in new and resalable condition. Products must be current production components. All products must be returned freight prepaid at shippers expense. Products returned C.O.D. for any reason will be refused. Credit not to exceed original purchase price will be issued on returned products approved for return subject to a 20% restocking fee.

Submission of ClaimsAll damages to merchandise – either internal or external – must be reported to the carrier shipping such merchandise, to permit an inspection report to be filed immediately. Claims of shortage of cartons, crates or boxes must be properly submitted to the carrier; claims for errors or shortages of contents must be submitted to Mi-T-M within 24 hours after delivery of such merchandise.
