Key achievements:

Improvements to line efficiencies and LUV costs – Efficiencies improved by Standardising

settings across lines which in turn created a bench mark to make improvements and also

allowing us to reduce labour across all lines.

Improvements to waste and yield figures – Running manual yields allowed us to compare our

findings to that produced electronically in turn allowing us to make corrections to the system

live rather than 12 hours or more later.

Various CI Projects - Standardised settings across all lines, create a place for a Sealpak head

cleaner which minimised downtime to dirty heads by approximately 75%, running manual

yields across all lines, trialing and implementing different slicers on different primals giving a

massive saving on yields and reducing product giveaway from above 7% to less than 1.5% on

some lines.

February 2009 – October 2014

Site Shift Manager

Salary - £35,000 per annum plus benefits including BUPA and bonuses.

Muller Dairy UK Ltd, Minsterley.

Minsterley Site formerly owned by Greencore solely making Muller and Cadbury Desserts prior to

branching out to third party products to Aldi, Lidl and Morrisons.

Approximately 200 employees

Range of 25 plus SKU's rising month on month including all Cadury Dessert, Morrisons Trifles, Aldi

Trifles, Lidl Trifles, Mullers Puds Desserts, Third Party Jellies.

Duties -

Daily reporting of efficiencies/ costs and waste on up to 8 lines.

My roles and responsibilities vary from Managing Labour Levels and Utilising the LUV to

keep costs to a minimum.

The planning of production on up to 8 production lines for the week ahead and the week

following.

Tracking waste figures and documenting prior to a daily production meeting.

Training of new and current staff.

Any disciplinary or issues raised from employees.

Signing off of daily/ weekly salaries for up to 60 operatives.

Planning and authorisation of labour and overtime levels.

Maintaining and tracking any trends in dropping of efficiencies.

Key achievements:

Improvements to line efficiencies – Running 5 step programs to identify route causes to any

issues and eliminate with 100 year fixes, Standardise Settings across Lines, Retrain where

needed.

Improvements to waste and yield figures – Manual yields on chocolate and cream which

allowed me to capture data of losses within tanks.

Reductions to labour costs - Removing any unnecessary labour from lines by by implementing

mechanical feeds rather than manual.

October 2008 – February 2009

Duties – The building of remanufacturered vehicle brake calipers.

Salary - £8.00 per hour

Reason for leaving - Redundancies

Duties - The assembly of various trailers, canopies and other specific parts needed for the build of the

trailer.

I have worked on both the GX Line and currently the P6e line. I have a good understanding of all the

parts and the build structure of the trailers and also a good knowledge of the quality of parts needed to

complete the finished product. On many occasion I have been responsible solely for the build of P5e,

P6e and P7e trailers from start to finish and also responsible for the mesh sides or canopies for all the

trailers.

Reason for leaving - Sales Reduction

Duties - Creating appointments via telephone. Calling on appointments discussing there requirements

and putting together quotations that will fulfill there needs. Taking care of the new customer with any

issues after equipment has been installed.

June 2005 - May 2007

David Jacobs UK Ltd

Company Compliance Manager

Salary - £26000.00, Company Car, Mobile Phone plus all mobile phone bills.

Reason for leaving - Company Closure.

Duties - Overseeing the buying and selling of mobile telecommunications. Traveling around the UK

and Europe on a weekly basis checking on the sincerity of all customers and suppliers. Responsible for

dealing with all the necessary paperwork to be submitted to HMRC each month. Making sure that the

team of staff had all the information needed to carry out all the specific tasks I had laid out to be

completed on a daily basis. Any training the staff needed on any new or current systems I had set up.

April 1997 - June 2005

Muller Dairy - Technical Operator

Salary - £22500.00

Reason for leaving - Financial

Duties - Running of dairy machinery and making adjustments according to how the machines were

running correctly and efficiently. Training two or more people on any given machine when required.

Maintaining and carrying out any requirements needed for quality control.

Salary - £3.50 per hour plus shift allowance

Reason for leaving - Financial

Duties - Team leader of new projects and the design of new machinery. I was responsible for the

construction of any prototype parts being built before they were submitted to any company that had

ordered them for any particular vehicle. Visiting the machine design companies that were designing

and building any new machinery to ensure that the specification was correct. Construct and train a team

from two up to possibly ten people to construct the specific parts when ready for production. Visit

customers i.e. Toyota, Vauxhall to discuss any problems or questions during and after the production of

any parts.

Reason for leaving - Redundancies

Duties - Running of factory machinery in the construction of axles or gearboxes for JCB plant

machinery.

Duties - Running of metal press machinery. Training any new employees on the various press

Duties - The running of a colour darkroom producing customers’ enlargements or enhancements
