Kewanee Athletics Report Wrestling
Kayden Peterson & Lewis Robinson placed 1 st at Regionals.
Wrestling Sectionals: were held at Oregon High School on Feb 9 & 10..
Kewanee had 6 wrestlers qualify for Sectionals: Kayden Peterson, Lewis Robin-
son, Dalton Clague, Jeremy Burhorn , Trenton Gromm & Nathan Thumma
Lewis Robinson placed 1st at the Sectionals
Nathan Thumma placed 4th at Sectionals
At State.. Nathan Thumma qualified for state at 285 pounds. He
was defeated on Thursday by a Fall and on Friday by a Fall.
Lewis Robinson qualified for state at 152 pounds
-Thursday- won by a fall
-Friday- Quarterfinals won by a fall
-Semi Finals won 6-4 OT
-On Saturday- Championship : Lewis was paired up with Arieh Hart, 39-2 Sr from Anna (A.-Jonesboro) Ill. Lewis lost 5-4; placing him at 2nd at 152 lbs Lewis finished the season as a 40 win club member; he becomes the only
wrestler to reach 40 wins twice from KHS
Bowling Kewanee had one Bowling Sectional Qualifier at the L-P

Sarah Wyman: Sarah bowled well but came up a few pins short of
making it to state.

The Boiler Girls lost their first game to Flanagan 56-55
