Designed by British architect Lord Norman Foster Khan

The Khan Shatyr shopping and entertainment center opened in July 2010, and is home to many stores

and restaurants, as well as an indoor park and a water park.

The three-layer ETFE envelope is designed to shelter the enclosed accommodation from weather extremes and to allow daylight to wash the interiors.
