I loved a post by How Does She? on how to teach a kid to clean their room in 10 minutes. I put it to work in our home by making this handy chart that I've posted in his room for the next time he's told to clean it up. Print it, paste it up and let the kids get to work.1. Clear and make the bed2. Move your clothes off the floor and onto the bed3. Remove anything that doesn't belong4. Throw away the trash5. Sort clean and dirty clothes (and put them where they belong)

1 CLEAR AND MAKE THE BED
2MOVE YOUR CLOTHES FROM THE FLOOR ONTO THE BED
3 REMOVE EVERYTHING THAT DOESNT BELONG(and put away the stuff
that does)
4 THROW OUT ALL THE TRASH
NOW, SORT ALL THE CLOTHESINTO CLEAN AND DIRTY PILES(and put away
the clean ones)
