First Alliance Church is proud to partner with the Calgary Dream Centre (5598 4510 Macleod Trail South) in their ongoing mission to help people to restore Dignity, discover Destiny and realize their Dreams – providing second chances to men and their families right here in Calgary. Their Recovery, Transition and Community re-integration program offers life management skill training, career skills development and spiritual care to the individuals they serve.

Enjoy the distinctively decorated Christmas trees along our “Main Street” foyer here at FAC, provided by groups who partner with the Dream Centre in raising awareness and involvement during their “Festival of Trees” fundraiser.

The Calgary Dream Centre is able to make life change possible because of people like you supporting their work.

T he Rick Climans Jazz GroupThis ensemble has actively performed at public and private/corporate events and venues across Alberta for the past 11 years. A few highlights in-clude performing at the Banff World Media Fes-tival, performing at the Sylvan Lake Jazz Festival, collaborating musically with the Food Network’s Top Chefs Canada to provide a series of culinary getaway weekends at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel, and performing a number of times at the Cliff Bungalow Jazz Concert Series in Calgary. To-day’s trio includes Rick Climans (saxophones), Andrea Petrity (keyboards) and Stefano Valdo

(upright bass). Each of them are following their passion of being full-time jazz musicians and are happy to be a part of the Stars of Christmas!

Wednesday Night Big Band

“30 years of concert big band jazz in Calgary.“ The Wednesday Night Big Band was formed in 1982 by Brian Thorlacius. Over the years, many of Cal-gary’s top jazz musicians have been regular members of the band. All members of the band are accomplished musicians with a love of big band jazz. The band’s repertoire includes jazz standards, modern compositions, and original arrange-ments. To learn more, visit wnbb.ca.

Improv Adventure T heatreEssentially, “improv” is theatre without a script. That means everything Improv Adventure Theatre does is made up on the spot – and the comedy is unavoidable! Improv Adventure Theatre is a not-for-prof-it theatre company in Calgary founded by Phil and Melissa Abusow, focussing on making stuff up and having fun doing it. Thanks for sharing a laugh with us! “Like” facebook.com/ImprovAdventureTheatre

T he Superstars: Our Volunteers! To all the amazing Christmas-themed characters, to the Elevate! Kids’ Choir, Ryan Gartner and band, the carollers and many other musicians, costume coordinators, the food hospitality team, all the greeters, our set-up and take-down crew, set builders, decorators, model railroaders ... We literally could not have celebrated the Stars of Christmas without you! “Thank you” simply isn’t enough to express our gratitude for your time and talent.
