Qualitative Data from Teachers
• Having this event at one of our local colleges is a great way to inspire kids to pursue higher education. Although they are young, it is eye opening to bring them to a place that they can potentially attend. Many of our students do not leave their city, let alone go visit a college with their families
Students Volunteers plan and lead activity stations, act as tour guides, assist with logistics
Student Volunteer Feedback
• 97% enjoyed volunteering
• 95% would volunteer again
• 38% received credit
• 50% first time volunteers for FC
• Overall happy with organization, kids enjoyed activities, enjoyed working with other volunteers
Qualitative Data from Volunteers
“ It was honestly so life changing. I can't wait for next year so I can do it again.”
“It was the best experience I've had so far at FC.”
“
”
It was the most rewarding experience to inspire these little kids and hear them yelling, "this is the best day ever!" And, "I love college!" I felt like my work was complete.
97% of student volunteers reported their overall KinderCaminata experience as good or excellent.
“
”
I genuinely felt just as enthusiastic as the children when they planted their first step onto a college campus. It was awesome to give kids who are otherwise in the dark about college a chance at getting some perspective. I've been in their place and it's nice knowing that I can help…inform them of all the great things they can become.
