Cats Need Careby Rachelle Kreisman

Cats make good pets. How do you

care for them? Read the tips below.

Give your cat food. Most cats need

to eat twice a day. Keep a bowl filled

with fresh water, too.

Put a litter box in a quiet spot. Keep

it clean. The litter box is a cat's

bathroom.

Brush your cat's fur. Have an adult clip its claws. Never clip a cat's

whiskers. Whiskers are the long hairs near a cat's mouth. They help

a cat feel its way around.

Take your cat to a vet for checkups. The vet is an animal doctor. He

or she will make sure your cat is healthy.

Families, Please save the math resources in the pages that follow for upcoming math activities to help your child continue learning at home. We may continue to add to these resources in weeks to come. Included in this resource packet, you will find tools designed to help your child when he/she needs some extra support on a topic that is challenging for them. These may include items such as number lines, hundreds charts, multiplication tables, number or dot cards, tens frames, fraction bars/circles, and many other resources our math consultants find that could be helpful during this time. We are happy to continue to find ways to support families during this difficult time for all of us. Sincerely, Your GISD Math Team

Clocks at Home

Dear Parent/Guardian,

The class has been learning about the concept of time. The students have learned that one tool used to measure time is a clock. After having the students look at many examples of clocks in school, please help your child count the number of clocks that exist in your home. Guide them to include clocks on the stove, alarm clocks, microwave clocks, antique clocks, wall clocks, decorative clocks, watches, etc. Please help your child complete the bottom part of this page.
