KindergartenTerm 3 – Home Learning Booklet 5
As well as the work in this booklet read a book everyday. Do lots of drawing, trying to add as much detail as possible.
Get active – play a game, kick a ball, dance, do some yoga, go for a walk, put on some music and dance. (Remember to always check with your parents first.)

Monday
Draw a picture in the box and write a sentence about your drawing. Try to add as much detail as you can to your picture.
Drawing & Writing Activity:• Read the story, ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’• Draw a picture of all the characters in the story and write their names above your drawing.• Draw a setting in the story in the background

We can sort objects into groups based on what they have in common. Here are some examples of sorting. Can you find objects around your house and sort them?
Draw what you have sorted and label what they have in common. What is the same about all the objects in your group?

Items can be sorted in different ways. Here are 4 different ways to sort a group of items.
Collect a group of small items and draw them. How did you sort your group of items?

Put on some music and get active, make up your own dance.

Go onto Youtube and compete a Gonoodleor Just Dance video.

Wednesday
Draw a picture in the box and write a sentence about your drawing. Try to add as much detail as you can to your picture.
Draw & Write:• Draw 3 things that happened in the middle of the story. Think about the problem that is
happening with the Big Bad Wolf.• Write a sentence about each part.
What number is shown? Try to complete this activity without counting from 1.
Draw the missing shapes and put a box around the repeating core for each pattern.

Draw & Write:• You get to make up your own ending to Jack & the Beanstalk. For example, superman might
jump in to save the day or the giant falls off the beanstalk. Be as creative as you’d like. ☺• Draw a picture of your ending and write how the story ended.

Cool Down
BUTTERFLY STRETCH: Sit on the ground with knees bent and feet touching (legs look like butterfly wings). Slowly flap wings 15 times. Rest, then repeat until cool. CLIMB THE LADDER: Pretend to be climbing a really tall ladder. Stretch out arms and knees. Do this for 30 seconds. Rest, then repeat until cool.
