Picnics When you have a picnic, you

have a meal outside instead of inside of a home or a restaurant . The weather must be warm and sunny if you are going to have a picnic . You wouldn't want to eat in the rain and the cold .

Unless you go to a park with picnic tables, you will need somewhere to sit . Some people like to spread out a quilt or blanket on the ground. Others like to · take camp chairs to sit in . You wiiJ need to find a nice smooth patch of ground to sit on . You don't want to sit on rocks or tree stumps . Watch out for plants, too .

Picnic meals are usually eaten cold . Sometimes you can go to park that has a grill to cook hamburgers or hotdogs on, but usually people eat sandwiches, chips, salad, and fruit . You will need to

pack your food in a basket or a cooler . You
