Reasons to be Wary ofKinesthetic Activities
The kinesthetic aspect might not seem integral to the game or the language learning
Physical setting of the classrooms may not accommodate such activities
Students who are not physically fit can feel pressured, alienated, or left out
The game/action/activity can lack seriousness

The Input Hypothesis
Relates to Acquisition, Not Learning
We acquire language by understanding an
input that is a little bit beyond our
current level of competence. This isdone with the help of context.

Kinesthetic Games & Kids
Kinesthetic learners prefer to use their whole
bodies to learn rather than just their minds and
passively memorizing information.
Playing kinesthetic games allows kids to
develop skills and build confidence by doing
physical activities to reinforce classroom
concepts with their bodies.
Kinesthetic learners like to touch and feel things, and to move around instead of sitting.
They learn best with hands-on activities that let them learn by doing.

The research, the theory, and real-world classroom experience clearly support
increasing the role of movement in learning. Movement has strong positive
cognitive, emotional, social, collaborative, and neurological effects.
The kinesthetic arts can be
dramatic (dance, drama, mime,
theatre, musicals), industrial
(sculpting, auto repair, design,
electronics, building, metal, wood
work), or recreational (playtime, classroom games, physical education,
sports, active health programs.)
