Prove the previous statement! You will be creating an iMovie using

Garageband and iPhoto Using a specific section of Dr. King’s “I

have a Dream”, you will find photos that best illustrates the Civil Rights Movement.

Demonstrating through music, pictures and clips the feeling of the time in both a historic and contemporary sense.

1. Google “I have a dream mp3” and download the speech using the “file” + “save as” function.

2. Google “I have a dream text” and keep the text open.

3. Open Garage Band. “Drag and Drop” the audio clip into Garage Band.

4. Using the text provided and the audio, choose a segment of the speech that you think is most important and relevant to today’s society.

5. Edit the speech so that you have a 2-3 minute segment.

6. Go to the copy of the speech you found online. Find (“Apple” + “f”) the section that you are using for your “song” and copy it into Word. Beneath the text of the speech write a half page explanation as to why you chose that section. Print double spaced.

7. Add a minimum of 4 additional musical tracks to your speech segment.

8. Once everything is completed, export your speech/song to iTunes.
