• Size: 17,364 km2 • Population: 1,100,000 • Location: 26°30'S • Upto 40% of population are infected with HIV (40% of population is under 15yo) • Life Expectancy: 37 yo • Medical Doctors: about 200 including private practitioners (mostly from outside of Swaziland) • Nurses: about 6000, but only 3000 are active • No medical school in the country. The government has spent so much money to send out patients for
treatment • There are total 265 health facilities (25.3 per 100,000 population), including 2 national hospitals, 4 regional
hospitals, 2 hospitals (TB, Psych), and 5 health centers • Out of 265, 186 clinics do not have maternity services

Please pray for SCU to train professional Christians while improving quality of education and health care in Swaziland. We need to build more classrooms ($25,000/classroom) and laboratory equipment. We also need dedicated and passionate faculties and staff. The university provides salaries, one way flight (economy), medical aids, and pension benefits.
