Seal Specifications

Type DG

External Balanced Seal w/Clamp-In Seat (S ):anitary

The DG seal uses standard type D rotating seal components with a reversible si l icon carbide, tungsten carbide or ceramic seat. Typical applications include l iquid sugar, beverage syrup, chocolate and abrasive products.

Type F

External Balanced Seal w/Cascading Water : (Sanitany)

Seal same as type D seal except includes a water cascade (not shown).

All sanitary seals meet 3A accepted practices.

External Balanced Seal (S ):anitany

This seal is versati le and extremely durable, recommended for various applications such as: dairy products, soft vegetables even acid cleaning solutions or detergents.

Type E

Water Cooled Balanced Double Seal :(Sanitany)

Type E is designed to withstand heavy duty vacuum applications (up 10 ), tacky products, slurries, or pumped products which may exceed 00℃. The seal chamber can be pressurized to permit use of drain piping for coolants and sealants. Coolants or sealants can be circulated through the seal chamber under very low pressure when use to cool the seal face or seal against vacuum.

C-Series Specification

Type F seal: Water cascade attachment is recommended for pumping tacky or hot products up to 100℃, and for vacuum opplication to 355mmHg.

Superior seal:provides a longer l ife and less downtime. High grade finish reduces pressure at sealing surface results in less wear and greater efficiency.

No disassembly for cleaning:Unique groove-in-shaft design directs sanitizer to al l crit ical areas. A must for clean-in-place applications.

Smooth pumping performance:Backward curved stainless steel impeller provides an even flow and is easy to clean.

Finely polished casing meet numerous requirements. Casing available in a wide selection of port connections that meets various criteria for a variety of piping systems.

The Usage of Pump Curve Chart

for applications in the Food, Dairy, Beverage, Pharmaceutical and Cosmetic industries. The curve chart enables the user to determine how a pump wil l perform at different impellersizes and motor speeds. Operating at 2950 RPM, curves have been l isted for the KINGLAI KL-C100, KL-C114, KL-C216, KL-C218 and KL-C328 centrifugal pumps on the fol lowing pages. An instructional chart is l isted below.

How to Use the Pump Performance Chart

For example : If during operation, a max. flow of 30 m/h is needed, and the total head required in the centrifugal pump is 25 m, one can choose the impeller size and power of motor as fol lows:

1. Confirm the operating point :

Find the 30 m /h vertical l ine and the 25 m horizontal l ine in the Q-H chart on C216. The point which is intersected by two straight l ines is the operating point one is looking for.

2. Confirm the impeller size :

3. Confirm the motor's power rate:

The operating point mentioned above is located between 5.5" and 5.25". Considering the loss of energy in the pipeline, one should choose the curve above the operating point. and thus derive in using the 5.5" impeller in C216 Pump Series.

3 Find the intersection point by the 30 m /h vertical l ine and the 5.5" l ine of impeller on the Q-P chart on C216. The intersecting point reaches the coordinates 3.95kw. Thus, one should choose to use the motor power of 4 kw.

The vertical l ine(m) in Q-H chart expresses the head required.

The curve in Q-H curve chart shows the characteristics by different

size of impellers.3

The vertical l ine(kw) in Q-H chart indicates the motor power.

The curve in Q-P chart shows the necessary motor power by

different size of impellers.

The impeller size decreases progressively by 0.25".
