What about John 1:1? Isn’t Christ spoken of here as being God? Let’s take a look at it in the original Greek.

KJV “In the beginning was the Word [the Son of God], and the Word was with [the] God, and the Word was God [Notice: He is not “the God” whom He was with]. The same was in the beginning with [the] God.” (John 1:1, 2) Notice the distinction that is made when the word the is inserted in the proper places. The definite article the is in the original Greek, but was left out in most English translations.
