TEACHING ASSETS AND PERSONAL INTERESTS For over 22 years, I have taken pride and joy in facilitating positive learning experiences for students with special needs. I connect to establish positive rapport with students, which empowers working together to reach their highest potential. Progress monitoring of IEP goals & objectives has provided data showing my students’ academic gains and upward trends—learning gaps were decreased. A number of my students tested out of services or reduced ranges of service time. Collaboration with my colleagues to coordinate SE services with GE instruction has contributed to students’ progress and helping them reach their highest potential. Throughout my career continuing education and participating in available training opportunities provide me with best practices, new ideas/concepts to improve teaching, and inspiration. Personally I am active both indoor and outside with a variety of actives. I have traveled in the United States, Canada, the Caribbean, and South America. For 23 years I’ve been a long-term member of a community service oriented sorority. I participate in extra-curricular activites. I share enthusiasm for ongoing learning and active living to my students, colleagues, and community.
