INTRODUCTION

The model KLR D20 inches Slicer is designed and built to give twenty-four-hour-a-day continuous performance in handling your sliced bread production. The essential information to maintain greatest efficiency in operation is contained in the following paragraphs. This information has been compiled from many years of manufacturing experience plus knowledge gained in many installations throughout the country. NEVER ALLOW ANYONE TO TAMPER WITH OPERATES YOUR MODEL KLR SLICER UNLESS THEY ARE THOROUGHLY FAMILIAR WITH THESE INSTRUCTIONS. Every operator should be required to study this manual carefully. Particular attention should be paid to the precautions. Keep the manual in a convenient place for quick reference.

INSTALLATION Model KLR Slicers are installed by our specially trained technicians, and your operators are fully instructed on how to handle and care for the Slicer for most satisfactory results. The correct method of set-up is outlined for your future guidance should the location be changed later on, or hookup to a different wrapper be made. FOUNDATION: Precision built equipment, such as the Slicer will give smooth, quiet operation with minimum vibration when placed on a solid and level foundation. Concrete is desired, however, where due to plant arrangements, concrete cannot be used, the existing floor should be rigidly braced to carry equally the weight of the Bans Slicer and to insure level and constant blade alignment. Any effort required to properly anchor the Slicer and the floor will be amply repaid through longer service life in all the bearing and moving parts. FOUNDATION: After the Band Slicer has been properly hooked up and synchronized with your wrapping machine, all electrical connections should assembled and the Slicer can be operated. Electrical feed lines should be connected to disconnect switches. The disconnect switch is a safety feature in that interlocks with the doors and panels to stop the machine in case of a door or panel being opened and it is in a readily accessible position in case of an emergency stop.
