The regulator has an annual clock indicating the time, the day of the week and the date. In order to ensure the functionality of the heating program, the time and the date must be correctly set on the clock.

Different time-control programmes are available for the heating circuits and the production of DHW. They are activated in “Automatic” mode and control the change in the temperature levels (and thus the corresponding settings) according to the timer settings.

Timer periods can be set collectively, i.e. common hours for several days or distinct hours for certain days. Preselection of groups of days (p. e.g. Mon… Fri and Sat… Sun) controlled by the same timer periods apprecia-bly shortens the time needed to set up the programs.

Examples: 1) Monday - Friday, Saturday - Sunday 2) Monday - Friday, Saturday, Sunday

Each day can be divided into 3 phases (periods of time).Within these phases, the heating curves are controlled according to the comfort setpoints.During the intermediate periods, the reduced setpoint is active. (The comfort setpoint and the reduced setpoint are described in more detail in the HEATING CIRCUITS section ).

mode: (factory setting +10°C) The operation of heating circuits 1 and 2 is controlled directly via the relevant heating mode button. The selection is indicated by a bar un- der the corresponding symbol.

The start setpoint of the heat pump is calculated using the current out-side temperature and the set heating curve (factory setting: 0,76).The initial temperature of the heating circuit is thus controlled by this setting. The heating curve can be adjusted so that the heating power and thus the ambient temperature correspond to individual needs.

4 Details of the settings

Flow temperature vs Outside temperature. The heating curves shown refer to an ambient setting of 20 °C. Any modi-fication of the setpoint is reflected as follows on the start setpoint:

The slope modifies the initial temperature all the more strongly the lower the outside temperature. If the ambient temperature presents a variation when the outside temperature is low but not when it is high, the slope of the curve must be corrected.

Increase the setting: raises the initial temperature mainly in the event of low outside temperatures.Decrease the setting: lowers the initial temperature mainly in the event of low outside temperatures.Example:The slope of the heating curve is set to “0,76”. The outside temperature is 0 °C:

- The heat pump heats at an initial temperature of approx. 35 °C to reach the ambient temperature of 20 °C.

- Despite everything, you are too cold. Set the heating curve to “1”. The heat pump then heats at an initial temperature of ap-prox. 40 °C to reach the set ambient temperature of 20 °C

The comfort setpoint and the reduced setpoint make it possible to incre-ase or decrease the heating curve without modifying its slope. Depending on the setting, the initial temperature is increased or decreased accordin-gly. The setting adjustment is suitable in particular during the winter-spring or autumn-winter transitional periods.

The changeover between the comfort setpoint and the reduced setpoint is only active in automatic mode.

Setting ranges: (factory settings) Comfort setpoint between 20 °C and 26 °C Reduced setpoint between 10 °C and 20 °C Freeze-protection setpoint 10 °C

To set the comfort setpoint directly , turn the knob until the comfort setpoint temperature is displayed. For installations with 2 heating circuits, you must first select the required circuit.

The changeover temperature is adjustable between 8 °C and 30 °C.The factory changeover temperature setting is 17 °C.

If an ambient temperature sensor is used, it is possible to choose bet-ween 3 different types of control.

* An external temperature sensor must be connected.

The initial temperature is calculated via the heating curve based on the weighted outside temperature. This type of control requires the heating curve to be correctly set, be-cause the operation does not take into account any ambient temperature for this setting.

The starting temperature is set according to the ambient temperature setpoint, the current ambient temperature and their current evolution. A slight increase in the ambient temperature involves e.g. an immediate reduction of the initial temperature.

4.6 Cooling circuit

4 Details of the settings

To use the cooling circuit, the installation must be designed accordingly. This menu appears only in the case of a corresponding execution of the installation. Cooling mode is automatically started when the ambient temperature is higher than the cooling comfort setpoint. The cooling function must be activated (command-line 901 = Auto) and be started by the time-control programme (command-line 907).The cooling mode is stopped as soon as heating/cooling circuit 1 signals a need for heat or in the presence of a request for heat signal from a DHW circuit or another heating circuit (only if cooling is active; in the event of free cooling, the DHW load and heating by another heating circuit are possible during cooling).

Free Cooling is implemented by the circulation of the cold water circuit in the system, without a generator of cold being brought into service. For this purpose, the pump source of the HP and the coolant circuit are activated.

The operation can be selected by the mode button on the controller or the environmental apparatus, or via this command-line.

StopThe cooling function is permanently deactivated.

AutomaticThe cooling function is started automatically by the time-control program-me (command-line 907), the holiday program, the presence button or according to the need.

In cooling mode, the ambient temperature control is carried out according to this comfort setpoint. The cooling comfort setpoint can also be set using the knob on the control panel.

The “Activation” parameter determines which time-control programme is used for cooling.

Heating Circuit Timer programThe start of cooling is carried out in accordance with the heating circuit time-control programme.

Timer program 5The start of cooling is carried out in accordance with the time-control programme 5.

Using the cooling curve, the controller determines the initial temperature necessary for a given weighted outside temperature. The cooling curve is determined by the definition of two fixed points (initial settings of 25 °C and 35 °C).

TVKw Initial temperature setting for coolingTAgem Weighted outside temperature

If the weighted outside temperature is higher than the cooling limit, cooling is started. If the weighted outside temperature is at least 0,5 K below the cooling limit, cooling is locked.

The heat pump allows production of domestic hot water. The apparatus controls the temperature of the domestic hot water according to the time-control programme or continuously according to the relevant setting.

In the presence of a request for hot water, the heat pump is brought into service. It then heats the domestic water to the desired temperature.Once the required temperature is reached, the heat pump is deactiva-ted again or, if need be, switches into heating mode. If the heat pump is unable to heat the water sufficiently and an electric heater is present in the water-heater, the latter takes over.

The priority of water heating over the ambient heating is adjustable. Moreover, the controller has an adjustable anti-Legionnaires‘ disease func-tion, which fights the legionella in the accumulator.

4.8 Maintenance / Special mode

4 Details of the settings

The maintenance functions can be used as a preventive measure for the periodic monitoring of the installation. All the maintenance functions can be individually activated and deactivated. The controller generates the maintenance messages automatically if the parameters set in the maintenance functions are exceeded or are not reached.

Min. temperature of DHW load

T° min. of DHW HP loadMinimum temperature to which the water-heater must be heated by the HP without the load being stopped.

Current T° of DHW HP loadThe controller storesthe temperature of the DHW at which the HP stop-ped the load for the last time when a high pressure, hot gases or maxi-mum deactivation temperature limit was reached. If this value is lower than the “T° min. of DHW HP load” value (command-

line 7092), the symbol is displayed and a maintenance message appears in the Info area: 12 Temp. of DHW HP load too low

no re-initialisationThis parameter cannot be re-initialised.If, on the following DHW load, the min. load temperature is exceeded again, the maintenance function is also suspended. If, on the other hand, it is not reached, the maintenance message remains. If this error message is displayed, it is advisable to verify the safety fixtu-res and the thermostat.

If the heat pump does not function correctly, it is possible to maintain a emergency mode. Heating is ensured by an electric heating element in the entry or in the buffer storage. Hot water is ensured by the electric heating element present in any event in the water-heater. Emergency mode can be activated and deactivated manually.
