courtyard space is relaxing and exactly as I envisioned! I will

spend a lot of time here!

oasis)! My new Country Living Cast Iron and Aluminum

bench, flowers and accessories are absolutely perfect in my

backyard. The bench arrived 5 days prior to the estimated

date, so I am a VERY happy [Kmart] shopper!

and grilling supplies to help celebrate summer

(as well as the 4th of July) has always been my

idea of a good

tough choosing

the perfect set

because they

had a lot that

piece seating set was just my style and perfectly fit

within my budget.

On a practical note, the extra seating will be helpful

for 4th of July entertaining. On a not-so-practical

note, I’m still stunned that such a great set of patio

furniture was so inexpensive!

It’s Time for MomWhen I saw this Jaclyn Smith Today set, I immediately

LOVED the subtle (reversible) floral print and it came with

five chairs! I, of course, looked around for another hour

knowing I really wanted this set.

I went from having a toy covered patio with complete lack of

seating to a still toy covered patio but one with comfortable

seating and a beautiful summer set up. It makes all the

chaos around me kind of go away.

Outdoor Living: Dream a Little Dream While the kids swing and slide, I stand around and dream

about a majorly upgraded outdoor space for the part of the

yard that is immediately adjacent to the swing set!

I clicked over to the Kmart Outdoor Catalog to see what

options they had. The catalog is filled with amazing pictures

of outdoor spaces that just call you to come relax.

Virtually flipping through the Outdoor catalog really helped

me envision the items in a space. It also helped that it had

brands I was really familiar with like La-z-Boy!

I also visited Kmart’s webpage and used their patio finder to

help guide me to the best furniture for my space.

My Dream Backyard Staycation Now that I have a family I choose to stay put instead of going places. I

want my girls to find the small surprises in their own backyard. Staying

put can be just as exciting as being on the go. Frankly, my girls both

have Autism. We joke that Natalie has a expiration date on traveling. She

can go only a couple hours in the car before she hits full meltdown with

Madeline not far behind.

I used Kmart’s Outdoor Living Catalog online to whip up my dream on

Polyvore. If you think Pinterest is addicting, this is much worse but in

a really good way. Take Polyvore’s clip it button and place it on your

bookmarking tab. It allows you to clip images you see on the internet and

create and inspiration board. It links the item to the original site with prices.

Awesome.

inspire the look I was going for. I love earthy elegance so I picked antiqued

My Perfect Girl’s Night Backyard MakeoverFor me, there is nothing more exciting then imagining a perfect

space to relax. Am I right? I went and did some online retail therapy

at Kmart.com and got right down to business dreaming up my

perfect outdoor space.

I was able to find some really great items like Adirondack chairs, a

really cool outdoor thermometer, some nice wind chimes and even

an outdoor chandelier! Many of the items I added to my shopping

cart were on clearance. I was looking for an outdoor rug to

complete the look, but it seems as though they are already sold out

for the season. I think the total cost for several of the in stock items

was just around $400.00 if I were to order online and have it all

shipped to my home. That is a great value in my opinion. A couple

of the items I wanted were on clearance so I would have to check

my local store for availability. Still, I would be willing to drive to the

store for a great price on a great item. Kmart also offers layaway

which is great if you want to pay for your items over time without

using a credit card. I made a Polyvore inspiration board to show

you what I came up with.

My Perfect Summer Girl’s Night Backyard Makeover Imagine this…all of your best girlfriends are over, the air is cool, you’re

nibbling on scrumptious hors d’oeuvres, drinking fabulous cocktails, dining

I need to create the perfect backyard. There is a great selection of whimsy

decor and accessories. The possibilities for my backyard are endless!

Our Perfect Outdoor Summer Send Off PartyFrom patio furniture, seating sets, lawn furniture and grills, Kmart brings

you amazing deals on great brands! We need some help in the backyard.

Two years ago, Beth and I put in a patio and steps. We haven’t gotten

around to adding any furniture yet. Oh and just ignore the weeds. There is

not enough motivation to convince us to get outside and pull weeds when it

is 100 degrees every day!

Now we are thinking about a few new patio options to host our outdoor

summer send off party. We want lots of water fun and grilling! Will you

Three Tips for Throwing The Perfect Back to School PartyIn preparation for my back to school party, I did a little virtual shopping and

made a bit of a wish list for the things I’d love to see in my back yard at the

end of this summer. Kmart has a wonderful outdoor patio catalog, and they

currently have a ton of items in the patio department on sale in our local

Kmart. I absolutely love Kmart Outdoor. Over the years, I’ve acquired so many

wonderful pieces for my patio and backyard – like my 20 foot above ground

pool, which is always the life of the party at the Quillen house!

If you do not have a pool, think about outdoor activities like a Slip & Slide,

water guns or even a little wading pool for the little kids. You can find a ton of

options in the Kmart Outdoor section – that’s where we bought our pool two

years ago!

Outdoor seating is so important. We currently have a large patio table with

chairs, but we always need more seating in the backyard because our family

is so large. I loved shopping through the Kmart Outdoor Living catalog. It gave

me so many ideas for new seating arrangements!

I especially love the gazebos in the Kmart Outdoor Living section – we really

need one of these! It gets so hot in Miami during the late summer that family

and friends often huddle under our mango trees for shade. I’d love to have a

gazebo or canopy on the patio to make the outdoor experience more enjoyable

for our guests!
