Ecrire un édito depuis la salle d’embarquement d’un aéroport… Quelle situation incongrue mais révélatrice de ce qui se passe depuis quelques temps ! Kronometry 1999 véhicule depuis longtemps son image à travers le monde. Ce magazine expédié à maintenant 6800 clients à travers 70 pays, notre communication mondiale et ce lien précieux que nous gardons avec chacun d’entre vous, ont permis de nous « exporter ». Nous parlons ici d’image.Mais depuis l’ouverture de la boutique de Londres et son succès fulgurant, ce sont d’autres perspectives de voyages qui s’ouvrent à nous. Londres fut donc la première étape vers une internationalisation annoncée depuis longtemps, presque naturelle, et qui va maintenant s’étendre à d’autres villes dans d’autres pays.Merci à Londres, cette ville où tout reste possible ! Merci à ses habitants qui nous ont si chaleureusement accueilli, merci aux premiers clients et aux manufactures partenaires de ce projet de nous avoir permis de grandir si vite, d’apprendre et de nous entraîner pour aller, je l’espère, encore un peu plus loin. Merci à tous les collaborateurs Kronometry 1999, qui chacun à sa manière, de Bordeaux à Paris en passant par Lyon, Cannes ou Monaco, a accompagné cette aventure.Alors oui, il y aura d’autres éditos écrits depuis les salons accueillants d’aéroports lointains. C’est la condition sine qua non pour que Kronometry 1999 puisse découvrir de nouveaux horizons.Avant cela, nous allons vous parler, à travers ce numéro, de la merveilleuse saga Opus Harry Winston : dix années de défis incroyables, de créativité mais aussi et surtout de complicité et de confiance entre ces Maîtres Horlogers visionnaires et la grande maison Harry Winston. Vous découvrirez aussi le renouveau de la ligne Vintage de Bell & Ross et le spectaculaire modèle Compass : du grand Bell & Ross !Enfin, événement majeur de la fin d’année 2010, nous vous dévoilons les gagnants du K-Challenge et la remise des trophées qui s’est déroulée à Paris le 22 octobre dernier.

Thank-you to all those who work for Kronometry 1999 who, each in their own way, from Bordeaux to Paris via Lyon, Cannes and Monaco, have accompanied us on this adventure. So yes, there will be other editorials written from the cosy lounges of distant airports. This is a condition «sine qua non» allowing Kronometry 1999 to discover new horizons.Before that happens, we will have told you, in this issue, about the fabulous saga of the Harry Winston Opus : ten years of incredible challenges, creativity, but also and above all, complicity and trust between those visionary Master Watchmakers and the great House of Harry Winston. You will also discover the renewal of the Bell & Ross Vintage line and the spectacular Compass model : sheer mastery signed Bell & Ross ! Finally, a major event of this year-end 2010 : we present the winners of the K-Challenge and the trophy award ceremony held in Paris on October 22nd. A superb adventure, the K-Challenge united all of the forces within Kronometry 1999 and among watch manufacturers who are already looking forward to the 2011 edition. The challenge was immense, and we carried it off ! Finally, I would like to take advantage of this issue to wish you, your families and friends, wonderful year-end celebrations. Now that this editorial is finished, I am preparing to go to Courchevel to keep an eye on the work being carried out on our new boutique in the Hôtel Le Lana... Yet another trip...

à l’hôtel Le Lana

où Kronometry 1999 prend ses quartiers d’hiver à

Courchevel. En effet, la boutique déménage au sein

du magnifique Hôtel Le Lana à Courchevel 1850 et

en profite pour s’agrandir et réserver ainsi, dès le 18

décembre 2010, le meilleur accueil aux passionnés de

Haute Horlogerie. Reprenant les codes du concept-

store Kronometry 1999, cet écrin de 20 m2 situé dans

le lobby de l’hôtel accueillera dans ses vitrines en bois

de Macassar pas moins de dix marques horlogères

telles que Hublot, Harry Winston, DeWitt, Roger Dubuis,

Franck Muller, Cvstos, Bell & Ross, Bovet ou encore

Romain Jerome, Ulysse Nardin et Urwerk.

the Hôtel Le Lana

Something new for this 4th consecutive season in

which Kronometry 1999 takes up its winter quarters

in Courchevel. The boutique is in fact moving into the

magnificent Hôtel Le Lana in Courchevel 1850, taking

advantage of the opportunity to expand and thus

provide the best possible welcome for fans of top-notch

watchmaking as of December 18th, 2010. Applying

the codes of the Kronometry 1999 concept store, this

boutique of 20 m2 in the hotel lobby will host in its

showcases in precious macassar wood no less than a

dozen brands including Hublot, Harry Winston, DeWitt,

Roger Dubuis, Franck Muller, Cvstos, Bell & Ross, Bovet,

Romain Jerome, Ulysse Nardin and Urwerk.

in the Monaco Yacht Show, Ulysse Nardin has taken its

place in the Monaco boutique where a large area is now

dedicated to the brand. A real «shop-in-a-shop», where

Remise des prix du K-Challenge« Et le gagnant est…. »Après des mois d’exposition, de voyages et de transport, le K-Challenge de Kronometry 1999 a enfin désigné ses gagnants.Rappelons le principe : 2 catégories, « Design » et « Innovation », pour lesquelles chaque marque horlogère fait concourir un modèle de son choix. Une exposition itinérante est organisée dans chaque magasin Kronometry 1999. Les personnes ayant découvert l’exposition dans une des boutiques peuvent ensuite voter sur le site internet www.kchallenge.fr prévu à cet effet.A la clôture du concours, une des personnes ayant voté pour la montre gagnante est tirée au sort et remporte un garde-temps d’une valeur de 8 000€. Chaque manufacture gagnante remporte,quant à elle, une campagne publicitaire d’une valeur de 10 000€.Nous étions donc tous ravis, clients, collaborateurs Kronometry 1999 et manufactures, de nous retrouver au Fouquet’s à Paris pour la remise des prix. Les votants tirés au sort ont également été invités par Kronometry 1999 à assister à la remise des prix et à passer une nuit dans le mythique palace parisien.

K-Challenge Award Ceremony«And the winner is…»After months of exhibitions, travelling, transport, the K-Challenge organised by Kronometry 1999 finally designated the winners.A reminder of the principle : Two categories, «Design» and «Innovation», in which each brand proposed a model of its own choice. An itinerant exhibition called at each Kronometry 1999 store. People who discovered the exhibition in one of the boutiques could then cast their vote on the www.kchallenge.fr website intended for that purpose. At the end of the competition, one of the people who had voted for the winning watch was finally selected in a lucky draw and won a timepiece worth 8,000 €. As for the watch brands, each winner won an advertising campaign worth 10,000 €. We were therefore all delighted, clients, Kronometry 1999 employees and watchmakers, to meet up at Le Fouquet’s in Paris for the award

ceremony. The voters who had won the lucky draw were also invited by Kronometry 1999 to attend the award ceremony and spend a night in the palatial Parisian hotel.

The winning watch brands are :- Harry Winston in the Design category, with the «Opus 9» model- Ulysse Nardin in the Innovation category with the «Moonstruck» model

HydroptèreAprès ses fructueux partenariats avec Be hAPpy et l’America’s Cup en 2000, la manufacture Audemars Piguet affi rme à nouveau son implication dans le monde du nautisme en s’associant à la merveilleuse aventure de l’Hydroptère, le fameux bateau à voile le plus rapide du monde ! En tant que co-sponsor principal, la manufacture horlogère a eu la joie de participer, en octobre dernier, à la présentation presse du tout nouveau concentré de technologie qu’est l’Hydroptère.ch, sur les rives du mythique Lac Léman. A la différence de son prédécesseur, un trimaran volant double détenteur du record du monde à la voile, l’Hydroptère.ch est un catamaran, également construit sur le même principe de bateau à foils. King Power F1TM MonzaAprès la King Power F1 TM dévoilée en avril dernier, Hublot poursuit son partenariat avec la Formule 1 et rend hommage au Grand Prix le plus rapide du monde, le Grand Prix d’Italie, en réalisant une série limitée à 200 exemplaires à l’effigie de son mythique circuit de Monza. Inspirée de l’univers de la course automobile, la King Power F1 TM Monza allie un design avant-gardiste, sportif et racé à un savoir-faire de très haute qualité dans l’utilisation de matériaux High-tech. Ce chronographe squelette en céramique noire révèle une première mondiale : une glace saphir teintée de rouge. La couleur est en effet intégrée dans la matière translucide, conférant ainsi à la King Power F1 TM Monza une luminosité particulière et nouvelle. King Power F1TM MonzaAfter unveiling the King Power F1 TM last April, Hublot is pursuing its partnership with Formula 1 by paying tribute to the fastest Grand Prix circuit in the world, that of Italy, by bringing out a limited edition of 200 watches honoring the legendary Monza racetrack. Inspired by the world of motor racing, the King Power F1 TM Monza combines sleek and sporty avant-garde design with top-notch expertise in the use of hi-tech materials. This black ceramic skeleton chronograph is distinguished by a world first : a red-tinted sapphire crystal. The color is actually embedded in the translucent material, thus endowing the King Power F1 TM Monza with unprecedented brightness. The indices, hands, stitching on the strap and « Formula 1 Monza» inscription on the black ceramic bezel all borrow the emblematic color of the Italian car-racing world. Characterized by a blend of superb design, technical and creative virtuosity, the Midnight Collection has been enriched by a new model, the Midnight Chrono Tourbillon, a chronograph endowed with one of the oldest complications : the tourbillon. Positioned behind the famous «porthole» with a gold rim characteristic of the collection, the mechanism reveals all its sophistication through its tourbillon bridge made of sapphire. The chronograph counter, also emphasized by a rim of rose gold, indicates the minutes by means of a disc and the seconds with a watch hand, thus ensuring perfect readability. True to the Harry Winston style in both its design and esthetics, the Midnight Chrono Tourbillon displays the hours and minutes off-center while elegantly off-setting the rose gold of the 42-mm case with the anthracite grey of the dial and the blue hues of the hands. Avenue Classic

Harry Winston created the Avenue Collection in homage to the famous city of New York of which he was so fond. Over the years, this elegant line of ladies’ timepieces illustrating the city’s spectacular soaring architecture and the mirror effect of its skyscrapers has produced variations on its rectangular silhouettes adorned with the famous arches that dominate the facade of the Harry Winston salon on 5th Avenue. On the occasion of year-end festivities, the watch manufacturer has come up with an even more feminine Avenue Classic. The white gold case is set with 50 brilliant-size diamonds, while the dial in black or white mother-of-pearl is sumptuously adorned with 124 oval diamonds.

Le concept : associer à chaque Opus un Maître Horloger « Créateur » au formidable design des garde-temps Harry Winston. Une seule règle dans cette association : aller au bout du rêve et repousser les limites le plus loin possible. Le Projet Opus fut, dès Opus One, un cataclysme qui changera à jamais la destinée de la maison Harry Winston et des grands créateurs horlogers qui l’accompagnèrent. Kronometry 1999 est un des rares détaillants dans le monde à avoir suivi cette saga dès le début et à avoir pu accéder au premier projet Opus. Autant dire que nous sommes très fiers d’y participer encore…

The Opus Saga - A human adventure 2001 will undoubtedly be a year to be marked with a diamond for Harry Winston in its watchmaking adventure. It was, in fact, in 2001 that it embarked upon the Opus saga. The concept was to associate with each Opus a Master Watchmaking «Creator» to contribute to the superlative design of Harry Winston timepieces. One rule was applied in this association : to pursue the dream to its very end and push back boundaries as far as possible. From Opus One, the Opus Project was a cataclysm that was to change forever the destiny of the House of Harry Winston and that of the great watch designers who worked at its side. Kronometry 1999 is one of the rare retailers in the world to have followed this saga from its start and to have gained access to the first Opus project. Suffice it to say that we are very proud to participate once again...

Opus OneLe premier qui aura l’honneur d’inaugurer ce projet un peu fou et novateur sera François Paul Journe. Il sera d’ailleurs le seul à proposer trois projets, donc trois garde-temps différents à travers trois complications… Le privilège des précurseurs. Opus One sera donc décliné dans une version Automatique 5 jours de réserve de marche, Chronomètre à Résonnance et enfin, Tourbillon. Les trois piliers du savoir-faire François Paul Journe de l’époque.

The first designer to have the honor of inaugurating this innovative and rather crazy project was Francois Paul Journe. He was also the only one to offer three projects, and therefore three different timepieces with three complications... The privilege of precursors ! Opus One was thus produced in a an Automatic 5-day Power Reserve version, a Resonance Chronometer and lastly, a Tourbillon. The three pillars of expertise deployed by Francois Paul Journe at the time.

Opus 2Antoine Preziuso reprend le flambeau de la plus belle manière en créant pour Opus Two deux modèles différents. Le premier sera un Tourbillon haute joaillerie serti de diamants baguettes. Le deuxième, un Tourbillon avec, sur le dos de la montre, un Quantième Perpétuel. Mouvement double face donc avec deux complications de Haute Horlogerie. Là encore, les limites sont repoussées très loin et place la barre très haut pour Opus Three.

Antoine Preziuso carried the torch in the best possible way by creating two different models for Opus Two. The first was a Tourbillon Haute Joaillerie set with baguette diamonds. The second, a Tourbillon with a Perpetual Calendar on the back of the watch. In other words, a double-sided movement with two «Haute Horlogerie» complications. Again, the limits were pushed back ever further, setting the bar very high for Opus Three.

Opus 3Pour Vianney Halter, rien n’est impossible ! Il est donc le candidat parfait pour la saga Opus. Il développe ainsi quelque chose qui ne s’est encore jamais fait : un mouvement mécanique qui affiche en digital l’heure, les minutes, les secondes et la date. Ce qui surprend le plus dans Opus Three, en dehors de l’innovation elle-même, c’est la taille du mouvement. Dans sa recherche de perfection, Vianney Halter n’a pas voulu sombrer dans la facilité de créer un gros module, plus facile à développer… Du grand Opus !

For Vianney Halter, there’s no such thing as impossible ! He was thus the perfect candidate for the Opus saga. He developed something that had never been done before: a mechanical movement with digital display of the time, the minutes, seconds and date. The most surprising thing about Opus Three, apart from the innovation itself, is the size of the movement. In his quest for perfection, Vianney Halter did not want to take the easy way out by creating a large module, so much easier to develop... A very impressive Opus !

Opus 4Christophe Claret relève le défi pour Opus 4 et créé peut-être la plus spectaculaire des Opus. Par son mouvement d’abord qui regroupe sur les deux faces, les fonctions Tourbillon - Répétition Minutes timbre Cathédrale d’un côté et date – phase de Lune extra large de l’autre. L’heure et les minutes étant indiquées de chaque côté. Magnifique ! Mais ce qui marquera aussi Opus 4 sera le système de boîtier réversible pour pouvoir profiter des deux faces du mouvement. Un mécanisme ingénieux qui devra supporter un boîtier en platine de 44 mm de diamètre et de près de 20 mm d’épaisseur… Une prouesse !

Christophe Claret accepted the challenge for Opus 4 and perhaps created the most spectacular of all the Opus models. Firstly due to its movement which combines the Tourbillon - Minute Repeater Cathedral Chime functions on one side, and the date - extra large Moonphases on the other. The hours and minutes are indicated on both sides. Magnificent ! But Opus 4 was also distinguished by its reversible case system, enabling the wearer to benefit from both sides of the movement. An ingenious mechanism housed in a platinum case 44 mm in diameter and about 20 mm thick... A real achievement !

Opus 5Ce cinquième opus sera vécu comme une consécration pour la saga et son partenaire du moment, Felix Baumgartner. Là encore, les limites sont repoussées et la lecture de l’heure est réinventée à travers un ballet de prismes et le va-et-vient de l’aiguille des minutes. Rien, auparavant, n’avait ressemblé de près ou de loin à Opus 5, ce qui marquera un tournant dans la direction que prendront les prochains projets.

The fifth Opus was seen as consecration for the saga and its partner of the time, Felix Baumgartner. Once again, frontiers were pushed back even further and reading of the time was reinvented through a ballet of prisms and the coming-and-going of the minute hand. Nothing before had ever looked, either near or far, like the Opus 5, which was to mark a turning-point in the direction taken by future projects.

Robert Greubel and Stephen Forsey deployed all the expertise that made the reputation of their young Manufacture in the Opus 6 Project. An off-center Tourbillon, indication of the hours and minutes by superimposed disks in separate apertures. Everything here proved to be clean and «tidy» in all four corners of the 18-carat white gold case of the Ocean collection.

Opus 7Un ballet artistique et mécanique pour indiquer l’heure. Telle fut la volonté de Andreas Strehler pour cette Opus 7. A chaque pression sur la couronne, une indication. Première pression : les heures, deuxième : les minutes, troisième : la réserve de marche. Surprenant ! Là encore, la philosophie Opus repousse très loin les limites de l’imagination dans l’interprétation du temps…

An artistic and mechanical ballet to indicate the time : such was the approach adopted by Andreas Strehler for the Opus 7. With each push on the crown, a different indication. First push : the hours. Second push : the minutes. Third push : the power reserve. Surprising ! Yet again, the Opus philosophy pushed back the limits of imagination in the way one can tell the time...

Opus 8Un but pour Frédéric Garinaud à travers Opus 8 : retourner dans l’ère la plus électronique et digitale à travers un mouvement mécanique, l’ère Pop Art des années 70 ! Deux opposés en quelque sorte, qu’il faudra réunir dans un boîtier en or blanc 18k de 45,8 x 33,5 mm. Pari réussi ! Un curseur linéaire indique à droite les minutes, quant aux heures, elles s’affichent de « façon digitale » grâce aux modules qui apparaissent sur simple pression du poussoir à droite. Le style des 70’ se retrouve aussi à travers le boîtier.

A single aim for Frédéric Garinaud and Opus 8 : to return in the most electronic and digital era, through a mechanical movement, to the Pop Art era of the 1970’s ! Two opposites in a way, which would be combined in an 18-carat white gold case 45.8 x 33.5 mm. Mission accomplished ! A linear cursor on the right displays the minutes, while the hours are indicated «digitally» thanks to modules which appear with the simple touch of a pushbutton on the right. The 70’s style is also reflected in the case.

The concept : to indicate the hours and minutes by means of two chains driven by a mechanical movement. The art of watchmaking pushed to its extreme (Jean Marc Wiederrecht) here met up with a great practitioner of watch design (Eric Giroud), endowing the Opus project with a major accomplishment.

Opus 10Inspiré du mouvement des planètes entre elles, Jean François Mojon, à travers Opus 10, inaugure un nouveau concept de mouvement. En effet, le mouvement tourne sur lui-même et entraîne, dans le sens opposé, la rotation des modules des heures, des minutes et des secondes montés sur une plate-forme qui fera sa révolution complète sur 24 heures… Une autre galaxie !

Inspired by the movement of the planets between themselves, Jean Francois Mojon inaugurated a new concept of the movement in Opus 10. In fact, the movement turns on itself and leads, in the opposite direction, the rotation of the modules of the hours, minutes and seconds, mounted on a platform which completes its own rotation in 24 hours... Another galaxy !

Collection Moon InvaderQuatre décennies après Apollo 11, la manufacture Romain Jerome rend hommage à la lune et met en scène cet astre de légende dans une collection époustouflante, la collection Moon Invader. Véritable combinaison d’esthétique, de technologie et de mythologie, la collection Moon Invader se caractérise par un boîtier de 46 mm de diamètre, d’une rondeur plus anglée, mêlé d’acier et d’éléments provenant d’Apollo 11. Autre particularité surprenante de cette collection : les rotules fonctionnelles aux quatre «coins» de la quadrature du cercle imposé par le boîtier. A magnificent distillation of esthetics, technology and mythology, the Moon Invader Collection is characterized by a case 46 mm in diameter in a more angular interpretation of its roundness, made of steel and tiny particles from Apollo 11. Another surprising feature of this collection : functional ball-and-socket joints on the four «corners» of the squared circle formed by the case. Designed like the all-terrain legs of the LEM (landing module) and mounted on axles anchored in the case, these joints hold the lugs of the rubber strap, thus enabling the watch to fit all wrist sizes. Chronographe Nicolas Rieussec SiliciumMélange de tradition horlogère et d’innovation d’avant-garde, le nouveau Chronographe Nicolas Rieussec intègre dans sa construction un matériau de pointe, le Silicium, reconnu pour être plus résistant et plus léger que l’acier et réputé insensible à la corrosion. Dans un souci de précision de marche et de fiabilité à long terme, la manufacture Mont Blanc a donc choisi de réaliser l’échappement de son mouvement mécanique à remontage manuel avec une ancre et une roue d’ancre en silicium qu’elle abrite dans un boîtier en or rouge 18k de 43 mm de diamètre. Sans concession…MCT est une manufacture horlogère indépendante qui réalise seulement 50 garde-temps exclusifs par an et conçoit et réalise ces mouvements à 100 %. Pas de base externe donc, tout est parti d’une feuille blanche et de l’imagination de son fondateur, Denis Giguet. Avec Jérôme Marcu, maître horloger, ils ont créé ce mouvement complexe, composé de 471 pièces et témoin d’un travail et d’un aboutissement sans concession. Une palette d’ancrage sophistiquée empêche de trop remonter la montre, et le système spécial qui accumule et emmagasine l’énergie nécessaire à la rotation instantanée du disque des Minutes est en cours d’être breveté. Le mouvement fournit une source d’énergie constante et il faut une heure d’énergie accumulée pour faire opérer une seule rotation de 90° au disque des minutes. La Sequential One dispose d’un double balancier à spiral enchanteur qui gère le rythme et l’équilibre du mouvement. Cet échappement novateur possède deux spiraux, fabriqués par paire dans des conditions optimales. Ce système étonnant réglemente l’échappement et supprime totalement les erreurs dues à la gravitation. Mais Denis Giguet a voulu, à travers le boîtier, mettre en exergue ce travail de haut vol. Il demanda donc à Eric Giroud, un des plus talentueux « designer horloger » d’habiller le mouvement de Sequential One. Le résultat de cette association est à l’image du mouvement, du jamais vu…La lecture de l’heure est parfaite. Malgré sa complexité, aucune pièce du mouvement ne vient en cacher une autre. Quand au boîtier, il dessine un contour fort et racé, alliant caractère mais surtout légèreté afin de laisser au mouvement Sequantial One l’espace nécessaire pour nous laisser admirer son « ballet mécanique ». Eric Giroud nous a encore subjugué. Pour indication, le boîtier est composé de 41 pièces… L’aventure MCT est donc une affaire d’hommes, de main habiles qui réalisent ce qui n’avait encore jamais été fait, de passion, de mentalité et d’esprits horlogers surtout, qui iront toujours au bout, réalisant le meilleur sans concession.

No concessions…

MCT is an independent watchmaking firm that produces only 50 exclusive timepieces per year, designing and manufacturing its movements from A to Z. No external base, therefore : everything starts with a blank sheet of paper and the imagination of its founder, Denis Giguet. Together with master-watchmaker Jérôme Marcu, he has created this complex movement composed of471 parts, testifying to a task and an achievement that have made no concessions. A sophisticated anchor clutch prevents over-winding and the special system that accumulates and stores power for the instantaneous rotation of the Minutes disk is subject to a patent. Energy is constantly being drawn from the Movement and it takes one hour of accumulated energy to power a single 90° rotation of the Minutes disk. Sequential One features an enchanting double hairspring balance which controls the rhythm and equilibrium of the Movement. This innovative escapement has two balance springs manufactured as a matched pair under optimal conditions. This amazing system regulates the escapement and totally eliminates gravitational error. Furthermore, Denis Giguet wanted to highlight this high-flying work in the watchcase. He therefore asked Eric Giroud, one of today’s most talented «watch designers» to encase the movement of Sequential One. The result of this association is like the movement itself : unprecedented… One can read the time perfectly easily. In spite of all the complexity, no one part of the movement hides any other. As for the case, it offers a strong, sleek contour, adding character but also lightness so as to give the Sequential One’s movement all the space necessary for us to admire its «mechanical ballet». Eric Giroud has captivated us once again. By way of indication, the case is comprised of 41 parts…The MCT adventure is thus all about men, skilful hands which achieve what has never been done before, passion, a certain mentality and, above all, the minds of watchmakers who will always pursue a challenge to the very end, attaining the best without making any concessions.

Tourbillon Répétition Minutes K1999La manufacture Custos créé deux pièces uniques et propose deux versions exclusives de son Tourbillon Répétition Minutes. La première, la Green Shadow, s’habille de vert néon sur le déclencheur de la Répétition Minutes positionné à 9h, les index et aiguilles et sur l’indicateur des secondes placé à 6h, habituellement rouge. La seconde, la Blue Shadow, se pare quant à elle de bleu cyan sur les mêmes éléments. Ces deux couleurs vivent assurent un contraste parfait sur le cadran de ce boîtier en titane traité DLC. Elles renforcent le design sportif et avant-gardiste de ce garde-temps doté de deux complications horlogères extrêmement difficiles à réunir dans une même pièce : la Répétition Minutes et le Tourbillon. Le nom de chacun des deux modèles est inscrit sur le fond de boite dans sa couleur respective.

Minute Repeater Tourbillon K1999Custos has created two unique models and proposes two exclusive versions of its Minute Repeater Tourbillon. The first, the Green Shadow, is dressed in neon green on the Minute Repeater trigger positioned at 9 o’clock, the indices and hands, and the seconds indicator at 6 o’clock, usually in red. The second, the Blue Shadow, comes in cyan blue for the same components. These two bright colours provide striking contrast on the face of the DLC-treated titanium case. They emphasize the sporty, avant-garde design of this timepiece with two complications, extremely hard to integrate within one watch : the Minute Repeater and Tourbillon. The name of each of the two models is inscribed on the back of the case in its respective colour.

Instrument BR01-92 CompassAprès la BR01 Radar, Bell & Ross continue d’explorer les affichages des instruments de bord et s’intéresse cette fois-ci au compas de navigation auquel il emprunte son seul mode d’affichage, précis et instantané, et l’adapte à une montre : la BR01 Compass. Cette série limitée à 500 exemplaires frappe, dès le premier coup d’œil, par un affichage innovant et inédit puisque l’heure s’affiche au niveau d’un repère fixe sous lequel défilent les chiffres. Le cadran noir est en effet constitué de deux disques concentriques indépendants, le disque extérieur indiquant les heures tandis que les minutes sont indiquées sur le disque intérieur. Le repère vertical blanc marque le grand chiffre des heures et le petit chiffre des minutes. La lecture de l’heure, étonnamment simple et ludique, se fait ainsi à l’aplomb de ce repère, du haut vers le bas. Collection VintageLa collection Vintage a été créée par Bell & Ross pour rendre hommage aux aviateurs des années 1940 qui furent les premiers professionnels à considérer la montre de poignet comme un outil au service de leur mission. Chaque ligne de la collection Vintage se caractérise par un boîtier rond de forme classique de 41 mm de diamètre, un verre de forme ultra-bombée réalisé en saphir pour sa haute résistance et un cadran au graphisme épuré, optimisant ainsi la lisibilité. Each line in the Vintage Collection is characterized by a round case of classical form, 41 mm in diameter, a high-domed glass made of sapphire for its high resistance, and a dial of uncluttered design for ultra-clear readability. The Vintage Collection proposes two different versions for each of its lines : an automatic version with the hours, minutes, independent seconds and date positioned at 6 o’clock (BR 123), and a chronograph version with two counters (one for 60 seconds at 3 o’clock, the other for 30 minutes at 9 o’clock), and the date between 4 and 5 o’clock (BR 126).The Original Vintage line adopts a brushed steel case for a more modern allure, available with two dials in different colors : black dial with white hands and indices, or beige dial with black numerals and indices.
