Core Service Offer
• Develop core service specification, drawing on
LQAF, LDAs and existing service specs, to include
variations for different staff groups and KPIs for
each element of offer
• Draft service offer expected for initial consultation by
end November.
• Have encountered more variation than expected in
terms of what is provided free at the point of need.

Current Awareness • Map existing provision (including use of existing
collaboratives which may be scaled and locally produced bulletins that could be shared)
• Develop quality standards and good practice guidance for current awareness services
• Promote existing collaboratives and bulletins available for local re-use
• Method for mapping provision and gaps has been reviewed in light of high level of variation. Two stage approach now agreed - results of stage one high level narrative expected by end November.

Streamlining • Rapid review of existing regional and national
schemes
• Analysis of available data on quantities, sources and spend on ILDS, from national LKS stats returns and suppliers
• Identification and exploration of the options for streamlining; development of KPIs against which to evaluate these.
