The Knox College Men’s Basketball Elite Camp is designed for the basketball player(grades 9-12) whose goal is to compete and succeed—athletically and academically—at the collegiate level. The one-day camp will provide a fast-pacedpreview into the lives of college basketball players both on and off the court. Theworkout will be run similar to a Prairie Fire practice. Participation in the camp islimited so all players can receive personal attention and coaching from Head CoachKevin Walden and his staff.

Head Coach Kevin WaldenKevin Walden has a depth of experience virtually unmatched in a young coach— from playing on aconference contender to coaching a last-to-firstturn-around. Named the Prairie Fire head men’s basketball coach in 2012, Walden came to Knoxfrom Warren Wilson College, where in four years, he guided the team to its first winning campaign

in nearly 30 years, a top-ten na-tional ranking, and an improvementin its overall GPA from 2.5 to 3.04.

Prior to taking over the program atWarren Wilson in 2008, Waldenwas an assistant to Knox Collegecoaching legend Tim Heimann from2001 to 2006, then an associatehead men’s basketball coach at St. Ambrose University.

A 2001 Knox graduate, Walden wasa four-year varsity letter winner for the Prairie Fire. He started atforward for the 1999-2000 Knoxteam that finished second in theMidwest Conference. Walden

was named team captain for the 2000-01 season, received the Harley Knosher Award, and wasvoted most valuable senior, most valuable player,and most valuable offensive player.
