Six of our KCRC members (Paula Sutton, Linda Bodner, Sonya Sleeper, Victoria Bucklin, Nick Lapham, and myself) were there to rally and talk to the legislators. A few of the legislators did talk to us, but most of them avoided us, including Representative Evangelos. The worst snub came from Senator Thibedeau, who ran out the back door of his office in order to avoid meeting concerned Republicans who were at his front door. ?? Am I disappointed in what just happened? Absolutely! Am I going to quit? Absolutely not! Our next monthly meeting is July 14 th at the Tradewinds in Rockland. In light of the fact that Senate Majority Leader Thibedeau and House Minority Leader Fredette voted against LePage, we need to talk about our future representatives in 2016 considering our investment in time and money. I would like to forgo the Executive meeting for an open forum (town meeting). July 18 th is the state Republican Committee Meeting which I will attend. I am sure there is going to be a vigorous discussion about the state of the Maine Republican Party and I need your input!! Getting back to business here is a list of our upcoming activities: Fourth of July Parade, Thomaston “Come Join Us” Lobster Bake @ Bodner’s House August 8 th Family Day @ Damariscotta Lake Park September 6 th Back to our monthly meetings on the second Tuesday, September 8 th . Guest Speaker Mary Adams, Tax Activist and founder of Freedom Fighters Movement Our website is under development and hopefully will be completed within the next couple of months.
