Hi kids! Welcome to Konnect! I'm so glad you're here! My name’s _____ and I'm your emcee! Guess what? We’re gonna talk about the right way to ANSWER ANGER WITH LOVE! Say it with me: ANSWER ANGER WITH LOVE! Before we get started, my friend Nitro will explain some important rules!

It’s so great to be able to give to God! Now let’s learn today's Point. It says, God’s love can turn a frown upside down. Repeat it after me loud and proud: God’s love can turn (pause) a frown upside down. (pause) Super! I wonder who’ll discover the Point on the Konnect Station this week! Let’s watch and find out!

Some of those harsh words would make a mad person madder! But we can ANSWER ANGER WITH LOVE to help people calm down! Tell your neighbor, “ANSWER WITH LOVE!” (Pause) Super! Let’s learn about worship!

When you follow Nitro's rules and make choices that put others first, your Small Group Leader might give you a Dot sticker! If you get a Dot, you can take it to the Good News Stand after we’re finished, to get points and earn awesome prizes! Okay! I’ll choose one friend from each team to pick up the offering while we sit up straight and tall and learn what offering is all about!

Wow! Mike was very patient with Alissa when she was angry, and it helped her to calm down! Let’s practice our Verse about that. Say it with me. Wow, we’ve got a great crowd of kids here today! Welcome to Konnect! My name’s _____ and I’ll be your emcee! Are you a kid who has friends who help you SAY NO TO TEMPTATION? (pause) Say, “SAY NO TO TEMPTATION” as loud as you can (pause) Awww … you sound like a bunch of old grandmas! Repeat after me: SAY NO TO TEMPTATION!! (pause) That was better! Keep that thought in your head as we watch Nitro break down the rules!

Wow! Sticking together makes us WAY stronger than when we try to face TEMPTATION on our own! DON’T DO IT ALONE during this next week! Say, “DON’T DO IT ALONE!” to your neighbor. (pause) You’ve been so amazing! I bet a lot of you’ve gotten Dot stickers from your Small Group Leaders already! Now, watch this worship video with me so we can all know about worshipping God!

When you are the best example of following all four rules, you might get a Dot sticker from your Small Group Leader! And do you know what those Dots are good for? (pause) They’re for Points at the Good News Stand! Your Small Group Leader can answer ALL the questions you have about that! Now it’s time to show honor to God with offering. When I found out Jesus died for me to make me right with God, I was surprised He loves me so much! He wants to listen to and answer every one of my prayers! If you want to follow Jesus, too, let your Small Group Leader know, TODAY! Having Jesus in your heart fills you with God’s Holy Spirit and helps you to grow STRONGER in your friendships with others who follow Jesus, too! Don’t try to face temptation all by yourself! ALL RIGHT! I’m ready for a FANTASTIC time with you kids! My name’s ____ and I’m your emcee! Buckle your seat belts (pretend to buckle your seatbelt) and hold on as we learn about how to REST when we need it. Everybody say it with me: REST! Aw, c’mon … you can say it louder! (Put your hand to your ear and pause.) Wow! My ears are hurting now! Listen up as my best robotic friend, Nitro, shares the rules with all of us!

God gives me so much, and I’m so blessed I get to give some of it back to Him! Are you ready to say this week’s Point? Okay, let’s do it! I’ll do my best to enjoy God’s rest. Repeat it after me! I’ll do my best (pause) to enjoy God’s rest. (pause) Open your hearts to learn how important it is to stop everything and REST sometimes.

It’s IMPOSSIBLE to be ready for God’s work if you don’t get enough REST, because you’ll be worn out and tired all the time! Let’s see which Small Group can say, “GET YOUR REST!” the loudest! Let me hear all of you! (pause) Oh, I think Name a Small Group was the loudest! Now look on the screen to focus on worshipping God!

Great! You all listened so well to Nitro—and some of you might even get a REWARD for your great choices—a DOT STICKER! Your Small Group Leader will be watching to see who they can pass out Dot stickers to this week! Those Dots are worth some SERIOUS points at the Good News Stand. Now, I’ll pick two kids to pick up our offering while the rest of us watch the offering video to find out why we give money to God.

Wow. Clint had a HARD time letting go of his work and sitting back, relaxing, and resting. Resting is important to having the strength you need to do what God wants you to do! Let’s say our Bible verse about that together! Hebrews 4:11 So let us do our best to enter that rest. … Great job! Now, let’s play a game with our Small Groups about needing REST!

God gives us a lot of examples in the Bible about how to live for Him, but without Jesus, we won’t be able to do it. Let your Small Group Leader know if you’re ready to ADMIT your sin, BELIEVE Jesus died for you, and CHOOSE to depend on God’s power to help you say, “No!” to sin! That’s when God can change you and give you the power to know when you need to REST. When you’re rested, you’re better able to help others and show them God’s love! Then they might want to be part of Jesus’ family, too!

Let’s see how strong our ears are with our Small Group activity. How good are you at ASKING AND LISTENING?
