Dear Sanjay,
I have felt very strongly for the poor dog. We must, God
willing, bring him
back to health.I am back today and I have done the necessary
research for him.
Please get all the medicines. Preferably German. If German is
not available,
take Indian medicines of good companies like SBL, Bioforce,
etc.
Take all medicines in dilution formsealed bottlesthey come with
a built-in
dropper. The reason is that it is easy to administer from the
dilution. It is a great
bother making the drugs in pill form and then administering. The
advantage of
dilution is that they can be given in a simple mannerjust take a
little water,
say a tsp or so in a glass and put just a drop of the drug in
it. If more than one
drug is to be given at a time, add that too in the same water.
Then the water canbe just poured in his mouth. The handler must be
told that the drugs are not to
mixed in drinking water.
Some medicines are SOS medicines. They are short-acting and
repeated doses
are required. Some are deep-acting constitutional medicines. For
them only a
few doses are required. But still do not take loose medicines.
Take sealed bottle
only. We can spend that much for the dear dog.
In the following I will make the prescription and also describe
whey I am
prescribing them. His is a complicated case and would require
several drugs as
several problems are to be treated.
His basic symptoms are: vomiting bile, watery diarrhea, off
food, debility
Rx
1. Arsenic Alb. 200 (This drug takes care of both vomiting and
diarrhea. More
importantly, it takes care of the toxins that have affected the
liver.)
2. Eupatorium Perfiolatum 30 (This is specifically for the bile
in vomit and the
watery diarrhea.)
3. Croton Tiglium 30 (This is for watery diarrhea.)
4. Rhus Tox 200 (This is for the dog being off food and having
aversion to any
kind of food. It also takes care of the fact that his symptoms
are aggravated by
cold weather.)
Give all the four drugs together four times a day (a drop each)
for 10 days and
report the condition/symptoms. I may like to change the drugs
accordingly. May
be I would change Arsenic Alb. with Nux Vomica.

5. In addition, to these four a restorative drug is required as
he has become very
weak.
China (China Mother Tincture) (This is to be given 10 drops in
water, three
times a day.)
Now emergency medicines:
A. Ipecac 30 (to be given on SOS basis for controlling severe
vomiting. Can be
given any time irrespective of the other drugs being given. For
severe bout of
vomiting, the drug is to be given at 15 minutes intervals. If
not so severe then at
hour, 1 hour etc. Remember, this only stops vomiting; it does
not treat the
problem.
B. Crotalus Horridus 30 (The handler said that at times the
stools are black.
Thats a serious matter. As long as the stools are watery but not
black, give theabove medicines. The moment you find black stool,
give this medicine in
addition to them. If Crotalus Horridus is not available, look
for Leptandra 30.
But Crotalus would be available in a major town like
Visakhapatanam or
Bhubaneswar.)
