Activity and Events

The students of K2 were taken on a field trip to the NationalRail Museum on October 4th, 2019. It is located over 10acres of land with both indoor and outdoor exhibits. TheNational Rail Museum focuses on the rail heritage of India.On reaching the museum, the students were delighted to bewelcomed by a beautiful engine located in front of the entrygate. After a refreshing walk the students were enthralled bythe sight of the toy train and could not contain theirexcitement as they boarded the train for the joy ride.

The ecstatic passengers waved a cheerful goodbye tothe spectators who excitedly waited for their turn at themuseum junction. As the toy train crossed various enginesand coaches and passed through a tunnel, the jubilantstudents clapped and cheered. The visit proved to be asignificant one as the students culminated their journey backto school singing rhymes and melodious songs based ontrain journeys.

An outing was organized for K1 students to Kidzania on

October 10th, 2019, to foster the feeling of independentlearning. Kidzania is a safe, unique, and interactive indoortheme park that empowers, inspires and educates kidsthrough real-life role-playing activities.It provides children with an environment that allows themto do what naturally comes to them i.e. role playing byimitating real world adult roles. Children were enthralledenacting the roles of a Firemen, Pilot, Fashion Model,Doctor, Courier person, Radio Jockey and many more. Theyall looked so eager to fit into each role and performed theactivities with confidence.It was a wonderful sight to see all the children being soinvolved and working independently in their assignedtasks. Overall, it was a very refreshing and enjoyablelearning experience for all.

DIWALI ACTIVITY

Activity and Events

K1 students of KIS had the culmination activity of the theme –‘Nemo’ on October 21st, 2019 All the students were dressed intheir colourful clothes with matching accessories like beachhats, vibrant sunglasses etc. It was a refreshing way to beat theheat.Students played games, made sandcastles, counted shells anddid treasure hunt by searching for various toy animals in thesand. They also had races, where the children dressed as bigfishes, caught the small fishes. The whole place came alivewith addition of vibrant sun umbrellas and colourfuldecoration.Students were jumping with joy, giggling with happiness andplaying with friends in the sand. Kindergarten octagon wasfilled with music and laughter of children dancing and havingfun. The day concluded with children sharing their learningexperiences about various water life forms that existsunderwater. It will be a continuous endeavor of the teachers tomake education more enriching by allowing the students toparticipate whole heartedly in such culminating activities.

Diwali is the festival of lights which is celebrated withgreat zeal and excitement in India. To make the K2students understand the importance of this festival,Kothari International School celebrated Deepavali onOctober 21st, 2019. ‘Deepavali’ means an ‘array of light’which signifies the victory of light over darkness,knowledge over ignorance, good over evil, and hopeover despair.The teachers narrated story of ‘Ramayan’ to thestudents and encouraged the children to celebrate asafe and pollution free eco-friendly Diwali by saying ‘Noto Crackers’ and keeping the environment clean andgreen.The students made colourful diyas with fan folding anddecorated them with glitter. They went home carryingthe message of love, peace and joy of the festival.

Activity and Events

Diwali, the festival of lights, is India’s mostawaited festival. The beautiful diyassymbolize the triumph of good over evil.This festival was celebrated in our schoolwith full gusto and enthusiasm on 21stOctober 2019. The traditions andsignificance of the festival was explained tothe kids by the teachers. A variety ofactivities were organized in the school.Students of Grade 1 were actively involvedin the making of colorful paper candles.The colourful candles beautifully adornedthe hallways and classes throughout theschool.

Diwali is the time that illuminates the country with its sheermagic and dazzles everyone with joy and celebration. Itmarks the birth of our rejuvenated soul after killing ourinner demon. Believing in the aforesaid, KothariInternational School celebrated the festival of gleam andmirth with full fervor. The day began with the ceremonialworship ‘Diwali Pujan’ followed by the ‘Aarti’. An array ofactivities was organized for the children namely Diyadecorations, kandeel making and many more. Students ofGrade 2 involved themselves in candles/diya making activitywith which they adorned their classrooms.Students were sensitized about celebrating a safe and

pollution free Diwali. The atmosphere gleamed with notonly the diyas but also with the effervescent smile of ourlittle ones.

TRIP TO FASHION HOUSE

Deepawali literally means “An array of light’ and wecelebrate this festival all across India with immensesplendour and grandeur. It not only illuminatespeople’s home but even hearts, marking the triumphof ‘Good over evil’. At KIS it is our incessant endeavourto pass on our cultural values and traditions to thechildren, and preparing them to become the torchbearers for the same value system for years ahead.On 21st October our keen learners put their handstogether and created clay diyas and decorated it.Diwali involves the lighting of small clay lamps filledwith oil to signify the triumph of good over evil. The oilin the diya symbolises the dirt in the human mind,such as greed, jealousy, hatred, etc. The cotton in thediya is symbolic of the self or soul. The diya presentslight when the light is burnt by the wick. Theythoroughly enjoyed the activity. The students feltelated when their own creations became the part ofthe Diwali decorations at home.

At KIS, it is our continuous endeavour to provide the bestof education to our students. We, realising the importanceof field trips, organised a field trip for our students onWednesday 23rd October 2019. It was integrated to one oftheir themes ‘Clothes Around The World’ so they can gainhands on experience for better understanding of theconcept. This trip facilitated them with sensory exposureto different kinds of fabrics and the entire process ofturning these fabrics into beautiful garments. Students notonly observed the various methods like drafting, cutting,embroidering, stitching and accessorising a garment butthey also could relate to the dresses they wear. They hadan experience of how designing is done, how differentpeople are involved in turning a fabric into a garment andwhat kind of machines help in a full garment stitching. Itwas overall a great learning imprinted on our learner’slittle minds along with fun and frolic added to it.

RAMLEELA

Activity and Events

‘Ramayan ke Panno Se’ based on the great Indian epic was

presented by K2 kids of Kothari International School with allfestivity on October 24th and 25th ,2019 in the A.V. Hall. Thisevent was attended by more than 300 spectators whoappreciated the talent and enthusiasm of the studentsenacting the scenes from this timeless epic.The well-choreographed enactment was interspersed withdrama, songs, dances, war scenes and melodrama. The mainobjective of the event was to bring the spirit of Ramayan andlay the foundation of strong value-oriented character amongthe students and adults.The programme was concluded by our principal, Ms. ManjuGupta, she brought out significant and subtle relevance ofbeing involved with Ramayan and emphasized on values likefight for righteousness and love for family etc.‘Ramayan Ke Panno Se’ left the students and the audienceecstatic with divine joy commonly associated with Ramayan.
