nEw!A first-class film disc! Maxfilm is used for the entire sanding process up to applying the base coat. It is a true standout in aggressiveness and durability. The flexible film back creates a more direct contact with the sanding surface, which causes increased aggressiveness. Because of that, Maxfilm only requires a limited amount of gritsizes. Consequently, you can finish the sanding process quicker and with fewer grits.

In addition, the special anti-clogging coating provides Maxfilm with an extremely long lifetime; the durability of 1 Maxfilm disc equals that of 3 conventional paper discs. The fact that Maxfilm is highly durable, is also created by the film back. When sanding with a paper disc, the grains will (partly) disappear into the paper back. In contrast to that, the grains of a (flexible) film disc will remain on the back. As a result, it takes much longer before a film disc gets clogged and the grains get blunt.

MaxfilM

Very aggressive sanding disc. Ideal for the coarsest sanding work; the removal of oxidation and thick layers of paint, but also for sanding the metal and hard putty. The main advantage of Maxcut is its open structure. This structure guarantees efficient dust extraction, which prevents the disc from clogging. The result is extreme durability.

Maxcut is also very suitable for surfaces to which a special greasy (protection) coating is applied, that normally causes a conventional disc to clog very rapidly. Aggressiveness is another keyword. Every grain consists of several small grains. The combination of these so-called bundled grains and the hardness of the grains, causes the Maxcut to be extremely aggressive.

The Super Assilex products are particularly suitable for fine to very fine sanding work. They are used as the final sanding step before the application of the base coat (Sky), for matting the clear coat and sanding the blending zones (Lemon/Orange). Super Assilex discs and sheets are the better alternative for scuffing. The main reason is the difference in grain structure, causing the Super Assilex to sand much more efficient and to realize a very uniform sanding scratch at the same time. This is of crucial importance regarding the end result, because Super Assilex (Sky) is the final sanding step before bringing on the paint. After all, a non-uniform sanding result remains visible, even after applying the clear coat. Super Assilex Lemon and Orange are in particular suitable for ceramic clear coats. These have a harder (and thinner) outside and a softer inside. In order to prevent san-ding through the clear coat, it is of crucial importance not to use a sanding paper that is too aggressive. Super Assilex offers the perfect combination: it sands, but is not too aggressive and it realizes an ultrafine sanding scratch at the same time. Besides uniform and ef-ficient, the Super Assilex system is a clean system because it does not need to be used in combination with water and/or sanding paste. All the above mentioned aspects enable you to realize average labour time savings of minimally 30-50%!

YEllow filM

Yellow Film is in particularly fit for matting the clear coat, sanding the blending zones and removing the orange peel. It guarantees a perfect, non-visible transition from the new to the old layer of clear coat. In addition, Yellow Film is also used for the removal of imperfections (dust and runners). The flexible film back contributes to the aggressiveness of the disc. It also has another advantage. When sanding with a paper disc, the grains will (partly) disappear into the paper back. In contrast to that, the grains of a (flexible) film disc will remain on the back. As a result, the grains maintain their sanding ability much longer and therefore a film disc is more durable than a paper disc.

Yellow Film has a special coating that prevents heat develop-ment and burn marks to occur on the disc. Consequently, the risk of damaging or sanding through the clear coat will be minimi-zed. Remark: When you start with sanding, it takes a couple of seconds before the disc actually starts to sand. The reason is that the special coating needs some time to reach its optimal effect.

Tolex is used for the removal of imperfections. It offers a combination that is rare in the finer grit range. Tolex is both aggressive (however, not too much, otherwise you will sand through the clear coat) and it realizes a very fine and uniform sanding scratch (< 1 micron). Besides that, Tolex enables you to reduce your polishing time considerably. Conventional sanding systems for imperfection removal often consist of 1-2 sanding steps. Consequently, the emphasis is on polishing. After all, with such a limited number of sanding steps it is not possible to remove all sanding scratches completely. In order to do so, extra polishing time is required. In contrast, the Kovax system for imperfection removal is a modern system, with the emphasis on sanding. With only one additional sanding step (of just a couple of seconds), almost all sanding scratches will be removed. As a result, total polishing time will be reduced considerably (with a couple of minutes!).

Dry sanding and polishing system (up to and including grit P3000!)

Buflex Dry is used as final sanding step before polishing and it minimizes total polishing time. Its most distinguishing feature is that it maintains the structure of the clear coat. (This is in contrast to other abrasives brands that take

away too much of the clear coat structure due to too much ag-gressiveness.) The great advantage is that it will not be visible where the repaired part has been. Another advantage is the uniform sanding scratches that are realized by Buflex Dry. This result is due to a special (and patented) interface pad, which creates extremely fine scratches. Consequently, minimal polishing time is required to remove the final scratches. Total polishing time can be reduced with minimally 40%. For the best end result, it is recommendable to use the Kovax polishing system. The coarseness of the grains that are processed in the Kovax polish pastes, are a perfect match to the fineness of the

sanding scratches realized by Kovax abrasives. This is important. After all, a polish paste of another brand can contain grains that are too coarse for the fine Buflex Dry scratches. As a result, you will still need a long time for polishing. When using the Kovax polishing system, you will often be ready in only 1 polish step.

Moreover, dry sanding offers additional advantages. It is clean and you see what you sand. This enables you to work much more efficiently and to considerably reduce your labour time. In addition, the risk of sanding through the clear coat is minimized.

tolEcutUnique DRY sanding system (up to and including grit P3000!) for the removal of imperfections. The advantages are numerous. It is cleaner than wet sanding and you can better see what you sand. It will enable you to finish the sanding process much quicker. It also reduces the risk of sanding through the clear coat to a minimum. A great advantage, after all, sanding through the clear coat means you will have to re-start the sanding process all over again. The Tolecut system combines aggressiveness and uniformity. In combination with Buflex Dry black (P3000) as final sanding step before polishing, the Tolecut system provides minimal polishing time. This Kovax system is a modern sanding/polishing system, with the emphasis on total labour time. More sanding and less polishing is the key to success. With only one additional sanding step (of just a few seconds), a highly uniform sanding scratch is generated, causing a remarkable reduction of total polishing time (of several minutes!). On the contrary, with conventional systems the emphasis is on polishing. Prior to polishing, the imperfection is removed in just 1-2 sanding steps. Due to that, much more polishing time is required to remove the final sanding scratches. Tolecut is in particular very suitable for ceramic and water based clear coats.

PoliShing SYStEMThe Kovax polishing system is a simple, user friendly and highly efficient system. Consequently, polishing time will be minimal. There are two main causes. First of all, the Kovax sanding/polishing system is a modern system. Conventional sanding systems for imperfection removal consist of 1 to 2 sanding steps. As a result, the emphasis is on polishing. This is because such a limited number of sanding steps will generate a less uniform result with coarser sanding scratches. A much lon-ger polishing time will be necessary to remove these scratches. On the contrary, the Kovax polishing system focuses on sanding. With only one extra sanding step (of just a few seconds) both imperfections and sanding scratches will be disappeared almost completely. Because of this, total polishing time will be reduced considerably (with a couple of minutes!). A second cause is the coarseness of the sanding grains used in the Kovax polish pro-ducts. This coarseness is based on the fineness of the sanding scratches of Kovax abrasives. As a result, much less polishing time is required and often only one polish step is enough.

Coarse polish paste for both light and dark colours. Suitable for polishing car bodywork, boats and fiber-glass surfaces. For the best result, apply with wool pad.
