The Wall Street Journal recently printed some words of advice from 20-somethings who’ve spent some time in the “real world”: * Watch what you say about your achievements in social settings. While talking up your private-school education may impress a job in- terviewer, it may not go over well with friends. You don’t want to be a 20-something “annoying kid” who asks you what you got on your test so he can tell you he got an A. * Consider living at home with Mom and Dad, even if you have a job. Not only can you save a lot of money, but your parents can provide emo- tional support you may not know you need. But set a goal for moving out. You don’t want to live with your parents forever. But while you make the adjustment into the “real world” – it’s a good place to be. * Keep up with current events. In college, it’s easy to live in a cocoon, where you’re focused on your studies and your social life. But in the working world, not knowing who’s considering running in ‘18 or why North Korea is in the news so often can lead to potentially embarrassing conversations. * Count small job tasks as well as big ones. Don’t stress if your first job entails more face time with the copy machine than with clients. Even if you graduated with honors, Xeroxing and making coffee when starting out is completely normal. But: With that said, know when it’s time to go. Give a new job a chance, at least a year. But trust your gut if after that time you feel the need to move on. * Learn to cook - at least a little bit. You’ll save a lot of money if you know how to make lasagna, not just order it from a menu. 3 BEDROOM CONDO Near West Hills School. 1 car garage. Tire is in East Franklin, but the housing development behind the store is in North Buffalo.

Supervisor Dan Goldinger said that the line runs through Transue’s property at the corner of Pony Farm Road. He stated half of their prop-erty is in East Franklin while the other is in West Kittanning. He also said Mel’s Pizza was also listed as West Kittanning.

“To continue the conversation, the Belmont is in East Franklin Township; however, the Gastro-Pub (and Quality Inn) is in West Kit-tanning,” McKelvey said. “It’s very confusing and I have to check a lot on the properties.”

Also in his report, McKelvey said that demolition of several struc-tures within the township have occurred during the month of May.

“These are structures that needed taken down. During my time as zoning officer, I am pleased with the structures that have been taken down and how they have been taken care of.”

McKelvey said two of the most recent structures were residences at 158 Pleasant View Drive, Kittanning and 755 East Brady Road in Cowansville.

A 36-year-old woman from Rural Valley has been cited by Penn-sylvania State Police over the weekend for scattering rubbish.

According to Trooper Mearkle, Tiffany Ann Montgomery caused waste paper, sweepings, ashes, household waste, glass, metal, refuse or rubbish, or a dangerous or setrimental substance to be deposited upon a road, street, highway, alley, or railroad right-of-way, or upon the land of another, or into the waters of the Commonwealth, as writ-ten in Section 6501(a)(1) of the Pennsylvania Crimes Code Act of December 8, 1972.

The crime allegedly occurred on West Main Street, 101 feet east of Gourley Street.
