Tentative date of
SAC meeting
proposed during
2014-15
3.1 25.9.2013 1. Dr. J. S. Dhankhar, Director Extension Education, CCSHAU, Hisar
Once in a year, meeting of Progressive & Innovative
Farmers of Northern region & Southern Haryana region
should be organized in the respective region so that ideas
and innovations be exchanged.
The quarterly magazine of the KVK “Krishi Vigyan
Patrika” should be printed in colourful pages so that it
becomes attractive and expenditure incurred in publication
may be arranged under Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojna
(RKVY) in collaboration with DDA, Ambala.
We are regularly having the meetings of
Progressive farmers, Kisan club farmers,
ex-trainees etc. in our campus.
We publish one new year volume in
colourful pages every year.
IVth Week of
August, 2014
1st week of
February,2015
The mobile numbers & e-mail addresses of all the SMSs
working under KVK, should be displayed at the entry of
the office and inside the office.
The success stories of small, marginal and progressive
farmers should be published regularly.
Impact study of trainings should be done to test its
success.
It has been displayed on the office board
for easy reference.
This year, we have sent success stories of
4 farmers to the ZPD Office. Earlier also,
we had sent success stories of at least 10
farmers and these have been published by
the ZPD office in the form of booklets
We are doing this continuously
2. Dr. J. N. Bhatia, Sr. DES (Plant Protection), KVK, Ambala (CCSHAU)
Uchani the Regional Centre of CCSHAU, Hisar has
released a variety of sugarcane namely CoH-160 which
is early maturing, red rot resistant & good for ratoon
ing. This variety should be selected for demonstration at
the KVK farm.
We have already booked the seeds from
Uchani for demonstration in this season.
3. Dr. C. L. Shukla, Retd. Disease Investigation Officer, KVK, Ambala (CCSHAU)
Cross breed & Indigenous breed, both are affected by
Mastitis disease. It should be kept in mind both by KVK
expert & farmers.
These information is given to farmers
during trainings and awareness camps.
3.2 17.2.14 1. Dr. S. S. Siwach, DEE & DR, CCSHAU, Hisar
Due to short duration of Punjab Pusa Basmati-1509, it
saves natural resources like water, fertilizer etc. So these
must be reflected in the presentation of result of OFTs &
Suggestions incorporated in the year 2014-15

FLDs.
The seeds of the wheat variety WH-1105 will be made
available in the next coming season. We could not
provide the seeds last year because of lesser availability
and miss-use of the seeds by the farmers specially breeder
seeds.
The farmers should give their names, address & mobile
nos. for getting messages related to weather forecasting.
2. Dr. O. P. Mehla, Sr. Disease Investigating Officer, LUVAS, Ambala
For colorful publication of Krishi Vigyan Patrika fund is
needed which may be arranged by writing an Official
letter to Director, Department of Agriculture, Haryana &
Deputy Director Agriculture, Ambala under RKVY.
The name of Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary &
Animal Sciences (LUVAS) has been changed to LUVAS.
So this may be incorporated while reporting.
For SAC Meeting presentation should be made in Hindi
so that the farmers can understand easily.
Soil Testing Campaign should be organized.
OFTs should be conducted on Climate Resilient
Agriculture.
Happy Seeder is much in demand, so a Happy Seeder
Machine may be arranged with ZPD, Zone-I (ICAR).
3. Dr. Ajmer Singh, Senior Scientist (Agricultural Economics), Zonal Project Directorate, Zone-I (ICAR), Ludhiana
For publication of Krishi Vigyan Patrika in the colorful
pages, you can write a letter for funds under RKVY to
ZPD, Zone-I (ICAR), Ludhiana. He will arrange the funds
for this.
The contributor names in the presentation of success
stories may be given which are sent to the ZPD, Zone-I
(ICAR), Ludhiana.
OFTs & FLDs of the Animal Science and Plant Protection
may be given in the Action Plan of 2014-15even if the
post is vacant. When the SMSs of the respective subjects
will join, he will carry out the activities according to the

Action Plan approved.
The data on Vermi-compost like Production, Distribution
etc. may be presented in SAC Meeting.
The number of Participants should be given in the SAC
presentation while showing Extension Activities like
Field Days, Kisan Gosthis etc.
For calculation of B:C ratio, over age of 3 years sale price
of a particular crop (like Rice, Wheat, Sugarcane) should
be taken into account. The sale price of one season is not
enough to calculate B:C ratio.
Innovation should be published in a Journal or Magazine
for wider reach.
In the SAC Presentation, proposed FLDs, OFTs &
Trainings and achieved FLDs, OFTs & Trainings should
be shown.
4. Dr. Dalip Gosain, Programme Coordinator, NDRI, KVK, Karnal
The OFT on Pusa-1509 may be repeated in the next
season for the verification of yield results.
The duration of one day trainings should be increased
upto 3 days because one day training is not enough for
transfer of knowledge of a particular aspect.
5. Dr. J. N. Bhatia, KVK Ambala (CCSHAU)
In the OFTs of Pusa-1509 & PR-121, varietal evaluation
is the main theme, so problem diagnosed should be
related to the theme, not to the disease as given in the
presentation.
Big posters which are printed in English may be re-
printed in Hindi, so that the farmers can be benefitted.
6. Sh. Paramjeet Singh, Farmer, Ambala
In the SAC Meeting media should be invited.
